Hi to everyone who's still here 😅

So I finally found the courage to start writing again! I know I'm horribly inconsistent but personally I don't think I'll be happy with my stories if I keep putting out chapters I haven't written with my whole heart, it seems like a ripoff to me. Quality matters to me a lot. A lot happened in my personal life for the last few months so I had a complete writer's block and just couldn't get my writing to flow as I wanted to. I even tried visiting the site daily to try and jumpstart writing a chapter but in vain. Well, anyways, this was just a memo to you guys that I'll slowly start updating my stories asap! Starting with this one :)

Chapter 8

They pulled apart and gazed into each other's eyes. Both of them looking for the confirmation they needed. Asad leaned in to kiss her again, when Zoya suddenly pulled away. No. I can't get carried away like this. In the end, I'm always the one who gets hurt. "Wait." She said shakily. "Wait, no." She muttered again, distancing herself from Asad, who looked heartbroken. Well, he was.

"Why?" He managed to ask. Everything was going so well, what was the problem now? "Did I do something that made you uncomfortable? If I did, please tell-"

"No, it's not that. But..I think we should stop here." She walked over into the kitchen to make herself some coffee since it always helped her clear her mind. Asad followed her and held her hand.

"I don't understand, what's bothering you?" He pried, he wanted to know so that he could get rid of it. Even if the problem was himself.

"Mr Khan, I'm...I'm hurt, okay? What you did, what you said, really broke me down. My clothes were a problem, my behavior was a problem, my voice was a problem, my eating habits were a problem, hell even my existence was a problem to you! And the fact that the mean words you said were off the top of your head, makes this even more hurtful because that means, in the end, all you think of me is that I'm a bratty orphan with no sense of self!" She ranted, breathing heavy at the end of her monologue. "And what happened that night and now, was because you're just physically attracted to me aren't you? Well FYI, I'm not a callgirl, Mr Khan." Zoya added. She looked at his eyes, and boy oh boy did they look angry.

Asad clenched his jaw and took a deep shuddering breath before grabbing her waist.

"Mr-"

"How dare you." He grumbled. Zoya gasped and fearfully met his burning gaze. "How dare you assume that that's all I think of you."

"Well, what else would I think Mr Khan?! All you said was that I'm wrong for you and your family, that I'm a misfit, and a spoilt brat!" Zoya yelled back. "And...and now you expect me to just forgive you?! You're still so full of yourself, don't you realise that?!"

"Yeah! Maybe I am!" Asad raised his voice. This woman truly brought the best and worst out of him. "But as you have said several times, I'm emotionally challenged! I have a hard time figuring out others' emotions, hell I have a hard figuring out my own, I'm not psychic, Miss Farooqui!"

"More like psycho." Zoya muttered. It didn't escape Asad's ears. He snapped. With a grunt he hoisted her onto the kitchen top, standing between her legs. Zoya gasped and felt her heartbeat escalate, although she wasn't giving up on this argument. Her determination was overpowering any other feeling.

"What did you say?" He threatened in a low voice. To his not-so-pleasant surprise, Zoya scoffed at him. This tactic of his had grown old. Though it was intimidating, she had gotten used to it. In fact, it was kind of attractive to her now, rather than scary.

"Nothing. Forget it." She turned away from him.

"No no, say it. You just called me a psycho didn't you. How am I the psycho when you're the one who chased after an armed suspect?!" Asad said incredulously, throwing his arms in the air.

"MR KHAN, HE SHOT PHOOPI! WHAT, DID YOU EXPECT ME TO SIT AROUND AND CRY? OF COURSE I CHASED HIM!" Zoya screeched at him. He scoffed at her, she might even be right. He may just become an actual psycho because of this woman.

"Yeah? And look where that got you." Asad breathed.

Thwack!

She slapped him across the face. He looked at her with an intensity that could cut diamond. "How could you say that." She whispered and raised her hand again, only for it to be pinned down on the cold granite by his strong grip. "Let me go." She wriggled her wrist but it was no good against Asad's strength.

Asad took a deep breath to calm himself. "No." He sighed. She raised her other hand, which was also pinned down by Asad. They were nose to nose now. Both of them seething at each other, their eyes far from hesitant, and their breaths heavy.

The anger they had towards each other was hard to justify for either of them, yet their hearts skipped beats whenever they were close. Their lips were a breath away from each other. Asad's eyes bore into hers. They had the same anger fuelled desire she did. She saw them darken and lost her resolve, placing her lips on his in a chaste kiss. They parted and locked gazes. It was like a match had sparked into a roaring fire.

Within a moment she found Asad's mouth working furiously on hers. His hands were all over her, pressing her against him. He was standing between her legs, with her still sitting on the cold granite counter. Zoya wrapped an arm around his neck and played with his soft hair. His tongue explored her mouth without any intention of stopping. A muffled moan escaped her, responded to by a groan from Asad. His hands slid down to her thighs and he effortlessly swooped her up in his arms, wrapping her legs around his waist. Zoya gasped at the sudden elevation and gazed at him in surprise.

He smirked at her, it almost seemed as if he was drunk, and placed sinful kisses on the base of her neck. He bit a sensitive spot and sucked on her soft skin.

"Asad!" Zoya gasped. Asad froze. His glazed eyes quickly rose to meet Zoya's. She blushed under his hot gaze.

"Say it again." He said, his voice lower than usual, making butterflies erupt in Zoya's stomach. "Say my name again..." Asad leaned into her. "Zoya." He whispered her name into her ear, causing her to sigh into his neck. She gathered herself and decided to show him, just what she could do. Her lips brushed Asad's ear, a warm sigh tickled it a moment later. She felt his arms tighten around her, and his jaw clenching under her palm.

He was holding himself back. He wanted to kiss her out of her mind and then some, but he needed to hear her say his name first. So that he could fathom her screaming it. His thoughts were sinful, dreams wild. His heart would pound every time he saw her, heard her. Every time he looked into her eyes saw the bout of life they had in them. She could turn him into someone he never thought he could be. Another breath of anticipation made him shudder.

"Asad." She whispered and smiled, burying her face in his shoulder. A muffled swear was heard from Asad.

He swiftly sat her back on the counter, devouring her lips, driving his tongue into her mouth with no relent. Zoya gave in to him completely, wrapping herself around him. A faint ringing slowly crept into their bubble. Neither of them cared enough to pay attention to it. But it got louder and more annoying gradually. "What is..." Zoya groaned, slightly pulling away from him, he continued kissing her neck, jawline and the corners of her lips. "Wait, Asad." Zoya sighed, she didn't want to stop either but her phone was ringing. "Asad!" She cried again as he bit a spot on her neck, leaving a faint mark. "Mr Khan!", She gasped. He paused. "My phone's ringing..." Zoya told him sheepishly.

"Oh." Asad stepped away from her, slowly coming out of his frenzy. Zoya giggled at his dreamy state. She gave him a quick surprise peck on his nose and rushed off to answer her phone.

"Hi Sam!" He heard Zoya chirp and scowled at the floor. Of course it was Sam. "Oh my god! Yes of course!" She cheered. Asad walked over to her, a mischievous idea brewing in his mind. "Where are you planning to-" a sharp gasp left her lips as she felt Asad's hands slowly slide around her waist. "Nothing, I-", his arms locked around her waist, her back hit his chest. "There was a wasp hovering around, go on." Zoya lied, throwing a backwards glare at Asad. He could hear Sam droning away from the other side and rolled his eyes. He placed his lips on the crook of her neck, then slowly moved to her ear, then back down again. Zoya let out soft, controlled sighs, softly clutching his hair with her free hand. "Yes! Great, I'll see you there then. Bye!" She abruptly ended the call and spun around to face him. She opened her mouth to argue but in vain, as he captured her lips in his.

"What was the call about?" He asked, smiling against her lips.

"Nothing much, it's the company's 10th anniversary this weekend so they've arranged a nice dinner party at Marriott. Sam just called to let me know about the confirmation." Zoya said casually ruffling his hair.

"Dinner party huh? In that case, can I ask you something?"

"Sure!"

"Will you be my date for the evening?"

Hiiii long time no see! Sooo sorry I left you guys hanging for so long! Hope you haven't forgotten me ;)

Finally you updated, I can say that the chapter was worth the wait (though the wait was looooong).

This has become one of my favourite chapters of all your stories. It was so asya- coded. The passion , the angst, the tension b/w them🔥🔥🔥🥵 It's actually good you didn't show them having sex right away as though Asad has apologized, Zoya wasn't t really out with was she felt about his misbehaviour. That's why her stopping him was MUCH NEEDED.

About her slapping him, I think it could've been better if she would've slapped him when he said things like 'isiliye khuda ne aapko aapki ammi nahi di'. I'm not justifying Asad slapping Zoya but in some ways I know where he's coming from. But what he said to her afterwards was just ruthless and unforgivable if redemption is not done right. That's the worst thing you can say to someone who longs for her parents. I really, utterly disliked Asad (since hate is a strong word). That thing was executed terribly by makers.

Coming to the story, excited for the party and Asad being all smitten by Zoya cos it's given right😁😉

Also can you add a scene of him introspecting and regretting and then apologizing to her in a different way as here he was so high on passion that he clearly didn't realise how his words have affected Zoya, at least his actions here didn't signify so.

Update soon🙂
