Also good winning over evil isnt even the end, technically speaking Duryodhan dies in 10th Parvan, while there are 18 Parvas of Mahabharat, you could say Duryodhan died midway so its more about the journey of Yudhisthir and how he grows up.
Mahabharat has everything means it has Nitishastra (how to behave in society for everyone), it has Yudhha Shashtra, It has DharmaShastra, it has Rajshastra, it has Itihaas (upakhyanas), it Veda, it has time of joy and of sorrow. Yes its a lesson for all, but that is not a tragedy, its more about a learning that we do along with the characters.
Undoubtedly no family deserves Mahabharat, but that's how royal families are, filled with such conspiracies, in Mahabharat at least each side was loyal to each other, I mean Panadavas to Yudhisthir and Kauravas to Duryodhan, despite being the king (as Vyasa calls him out throughout), and sole decision maker, Duryodhan never took away the title of Maharaj from Dhritrashtra, Kunti loved Nakul Sahdev and took care of them, in other cases you have even real brothers fighting each other, Asoka killed his 99 brothers to ascend the throne, Harayankyas killed their father to succeed for generations (like for 5 generations the eldest son killed the then king to usurp the throne), Kunala was trapped by his stepmother to blind himself. Chandragupta Vikramaditya killed his brother and married his sister (going by DeviChandraguptam, not sure if it is historical or just a fiction), Mughals ke baare me to lesser said the better.
Mahabharat is much better than other royal families and I mean even Kauravas were better family people than the "Great" kings we had in future (since then)
You have some sound knowledge of mahabharata. ❤️
