We're giving platform to this now?

Literally every 3rd or 4th big star buys awards, plants PR stories etc.

But VA ne bola to srk and kjo will be branded that?

SRK bechara got a proper successful filmafter 10 years with Pathaan.

Come on! He ain't that powerful, my man

We had tall, naturally well built heroes before and then bollywood started hiring tingu mingus for main lead. Place any actor besides shahrukh khan and compare the acting, screen presence as well as karishma. Be it hrithik in kkkg or abhishek in KANK, john in pathan. Even a dhobi or thelewala would look better comparatively if provided proper grooming

Politics and underworld financing bollywood worked in his favor despite his movies flopping left right n center. The Others were forced to take a backseat despite being more popular and successful. Hrithik had to suffer a lot due to the threats from underworld and so do others. Ajay and akshay were bullied to move their dates during clashes. Younger lot toh couldn't even dare challenge the monopoly. SLB didn't budge and he won the clash with during BM Vs dilwale clash. So, it's an established fact what people want vs what they are force-fed.

Blind hatred and jealousy at its peak

I don't know how often I have to tell that SRK (who was already casted) had to decline because he had to do the back operation...it was a must for him...but he couldn't know how it would turn to be...he could have got paralysed...so he told Hirani to go ahead with Sanjay (who had been casted in the role Jimmy Shergill had then).

You may not have found some of his other movies (except the 3 you mentioned) worth to get a special mention but I really can't understand your judgement that he predominantly looked at boxoffice- friendly movies...I find it very unfair.

As for YRF and KJo:

He simply couldn't say "no" to Yashji or Aditya...and for a certain time to KJo neither...it had nothing to do with box-office (imo)-

It's not SRK's fault if he outshines the main leads even in side and negative characters. It's not his fault if he wins nearly every clash. People tend to remember only one clash he lost. It's not his fault if people care and love him more than the so-called good-looking heroes. It's not his fault if he has the highest success ratio. It's not his fault if he's the most popular Indian actor globally.

Talking about the underworld, lol, SRK is one of the very few people who didn't bow down to underworld pressure. Unlike Salman and Anil Kapoor, he has zero movies under them. He built bulletproof walls for his safety, go read about it .

N yeah SRK is one of the most versatile actor ever. He will always remain The SRK. Deal with it

Easy to blame one or two people. Its whole bollywood's fault. First they should stop the nudity and vulgarity in the name of content. No wonder south movies are doing good.

Its not called winning if you are using your purchasing power to swing things in your favour. SRK was in the 2000's what Alia is today. Thats why he lost fizz and delivered a string of huge flop for more than a decade, which btw is going to happen again as well. Pathaan was one of the most stupidest films I have ever seen. His upcoming films look lame af too

Ok, name some other films which have had solid story and writing instead of relying on his star power.

There haven't been.

Srk, in his position, could actually do an Andhadhun, a Ludo, a Badla. He could do a Qala, another Swadesh, a Dangal. I'm not speaking of these films specifically, but he's someone in a position to do so if he wished.

I don't buy that he can't say no to KJo and Adi. They didn't make him. And he has said no to Aziz and Vivek Vaswani, who actually were instrumental in SRK's initial successes.

I'm a fan of the human he seems to be. I think he is a phenomenal actor when he chooses to be. Unfortunately, he seems to go for the safest BO proposition.
