Oh I have seen this matlab kya jam ke pakao hai sab and kitna repeated wohi 4 expression Wali so called acting jo ke isse autopilot pe bhi nahi ho rahi and styl8ng toh mashallah 1850 se utha ke laaye hai of grandma's Caz aaj kal grandma's bhi.isse zyada hi khud ko maintain and stylish rakhti hain..that mishkat launda behind her looked like her beta for real jab Mata ji turned to see him.peeche..and woh dusra hero kahan se pataaal se utha ke laaye hain
.hai hai superstar ke saath no.popular hero to make jodi with..but su fans including su is hyping it aise jaise isse pehle nothing existed sumaan who.mitna forced promotion dosti cycle started again
I watched satyaprem ki katha and I have thoughts a lot of them... ut us such a mixed bag of a film.they tried byr the direction and the confusion of the director and storytellers was just so apparent..it.could have been a beautiful.film.had they focused on the married couple and them dealing.w8th thr emotional turmoil and their journey but pata nahi every 2 mins itne fake.looking ek jaise looking and sounding dream.sequences thus thus ke bore kyon kar rahe thay..literally none of the songs looked or sounded a
ny different sab ke sab were one after other breaking the flow and didn't match the topic subject and just keep the film just 🤏 ittu sa durr from being fabulous.
To start off I felt they just couldn't decide the tone whether it has to be comedy or serious..I wish they went for a more serious tone then to do random hassi thattha when your topic subject is so important and your actors deliver in the moments of substance with quite good composure and handle on it it..both Kiara and karthik did well in the moments they were given to be serious esp Kiara her natural wooden hona kinda ended up working showing the vulnerability and one really feels for her character and so does karthik's satyu he is such a sweetheart one totally feels for him and wants to do things better for yin however that are far and few sequences Caz in the forst half he was just on autopilot not even being the normal karthik ajeeb sa haise constantly Nasha main hain type sleep walking . I guess that is the look that just didn't work either with the constant dream sequences ya kya . The film just doesn't settle whatsoever in the forst half and one cannot even decide the genre..
I personally feel the biggest drawback was casting gajraj Rao as the confidante of karthik matlab how xam one even take him seriously in the serious sequences the guy isn't the best at switching modes and ajeeb joker sa banaya hua hai..
The film takes too much on their plate then they can handle starting of with the role reversal jahan maa behan are kamaoing and the men of the house are shown to be abused by powere doing household chores and getting taunts from maa behan..it is meant to be light way main conveying message but somehow it doesn't hot the right chords neither is the attention given it is just in passing to assume.
Then comes the most important plot point which is " date rape" the girl has a haunting past where her then BF raped her despite her saying no and she cannot get over the trauma..and how it creates the distance between sattu and Katha.. which btw beautifully conveyed and acted the whole heartbreak the sadness the emotional turmoil done well by both despite a lulzy start to the reveal..
But uske baad where sattu turns out to be a lovely husband which he was from the start understand helping his wife..the casualness of it all has hit and miss for me..again props for them for discussing it so openly Caz it is not an easy subject but then it turns out almost too casual topic of discussion..where I did like how she gathered the courage and went straight upto her saas sasur and told them what happened with her and why she is scared to be around sattu or any man for that reason it is very well done but then gajraj turns out to be the weakest link .. Supriya pathak got some beautiful moments in the 2nd half otherwise she is wasted but she get the poignancy right where she needed to bring the sensitivity and I loved the one scene between maa beta.. like omg the husband wife talks could have been so much more had it not been the ott casualness in the lingo like just when you start feeling for the mess they have been in and feel for both trying to make it work and it was lovely to see them.trying to make it work but then they throw terms like 1st base , 2 d base '3rd base like wtf man..if you can keep screaming rape rape rape in all the family gathering itna casually inf ront of pandits too almost on loud speaker then what is the problem you have to say kiss,sex, hand hold..
That is the problem the treatment just never hits the full potential and progressive ke chakkar main ajeeb sa halwa kar Dia never hitting the fullpotential or hitting the emotional connection to the audience right it could have been such a lovely lovely film but fazool cheez main bohat time waste Kia.. however it does have its moments it is not bad film but baat wohi hai ke bihat kuch daalne ke chakkar main jo focus hona chahiye tha on the couple woh nahi..like they actually say at one point ke pyaar salman se tha but mili toh Ajay ko hi thi na Aishwarya in HDDCS ke hui yoh apne shaouhar ki hi thi na Caz his love was so.pure toh honsla rakh but they doesn't let that potential reach that crescendo even though one can see how sattu had all the emotional baggage to go with that and also Katha ha sincerity she genuinely wanted to be with her husband and try and was trying to get over her trauma on her own. Matlab their pyar did have ek genuineness but it needed more time I felt..dusra pasoori was totally unregistered in a honeymoon sequence lol epically unnoticed i wish they cut down on the ajeeb se made up song sequences that did no favor to them
I would give it a 3/5 I would love to hear your thoughts again not a bad film I genuinely want to love it but then something just stayed a bit I the ehh mode ..
i also randomly happened to catch the epsidoes of katha this week and Bro after like months and months the show had the old times vibe soohappy most extras are gone and weren't faltu ka tryign to steal importance the 3 of them were jsut so so adorable but sab kuch zyda hi meetha ho gaya matlab mere ko diabetes ho jaayegi at everything goign so smooth😆 last week last epsidoe walis feeling thi but jo bhi ho just glad i could connect fully like old times with the characters the acting felt more normal too and aarav being a sweetheart as alwasy Maza aaya sab main.. oh and haha guni maa is back being her melodramatic self cute
waise viaan katha ka hug was well done i like the simplicity in it that moment of pause to get a grip on emotiosn ache se kia ek dum heartfelt tha bina faltu ka gimmick. and the whole weekend sleepover was way too cute. monkey to ful monkey ki tarah hi chipka pada tha viaan se lol at viaan teasing katha over still calling him mr raghuvanshi😆
aarav calling viaan papa was done nicely too and thanKfully adnan didn't go into overdrive of khula muh emotions it was just the right amount if glee and surprise

I've been watching regularly too, just haven't managed to post my thoughts often😆.
Agree, the current phase is quite sweet with the transition of Aarav calling him Papa - I was skeptical of how they will handle it given how overboard Viaan was going in his reactions ever since Katha said yes but yeh wala part kaafi sweetly handle kiya and even the acceptance from Katha's Papaji was another very well done scene.....they are bit by bit building up their family dynamic nicely and have surprisingly managed to transition decently from the Batman-Robin dynamic to this new zone where they are exploring each other as a family.
Katha still has some weird hang-ups like insisting on calling him Mrs. Raghuvanshi even now.....lol and Ehsan is constantly trolling her about it too but she is still sticking to it for now. Ehsan-Vanya are pretty cute with their excitement over KV ki wedding too.....Ehsan toh full baraati mode mein hai😆....and Viaan was cute with his embarassment over them being so hyper over the shaadi 😆
Even the way they showed Grewals giving shagun to Viaan was a nice poignant moment.
And yes, woh KV wala hug moment was also nicely done without making a taam jhaam about it....sleepover bhi sweetly handle kiya.
Next week hoga inka Roka and official proposal from Viaan I guess....lol chalo it's good to see kisi show mein toh happy chal raha hai and not endless dragged toxic cycle 😆
