I doubt it.. I think it will definitely do better than MPHT, and might get close to TB views in the first 10 episodes, but unless if Badar's direction style has significantly changed in the last few months, this will probably land in the middle of the two dramas.

Although Nooran is very weak in addressing character development, she did well in writing larger-than-life characters and intense romance - even if it reached toxic levels. That, in combination with Siraj's direction style which is cinematic and filled with romantic close-ups and stylistic walks, plus 7th sky's high production value and Yumhaj acting skills/chemistry is what made Tere Bin hard to ignore. If I'm not wrong, MPHT in fact had more views than TB in the start, but later faltered because of dull screenplay and weak plot whereas TB started to get noticed for high entertainment value (even if it made no sense).

Looking at Mein, Ayeza and Wahaj both have huge fan following, and there's a large portion of TB audience that is dying to see Wahaj onscreen as a romantic hero again. It will definitely start with a bang. The issue will most likely be execution (i.e. Badar) and this will become obvious once the story reaches its conflict. Badar tends to drag conflict unnecessarily to the point of exhaustion, and his romantic tracks are usually weak. Let's see, we might get surprised..

I doubt there will be much romance in mein. From the promos it looks more about power, ego clash and status. Ayeza's character is obsessive and wahaj's character loves some one else..I feel this show will have a tragic/ sad ending..

I completely agree with what you said about nooran.

Nooran is weak in character development. But, romance seems to be her forte. She writes beautiful romantic scenes. I heard she gave good romance in the telefilm of kadwani boy too..Angst, romance are her forte..The makers should ask her to write the script for romance and get it edited by some experienced writers for story development 😆

She looked so excited in aamna's interview when she mentioned about s2 and how she will add more romance this time 😆. I think there will be more romantic scenes, much bold one's compared to last season . The makers will leave no stone unturned to make season 2 successful..

I don't know if I should be excited or scared - the last time Nooran said "Maza ayega", we all got severely traumatized 😆 Completely agree with you in the bold, plus someone who can filter out toxic scenes

. Yes I feel the same as well … TB’s strength was its intensity of romance whereas Mein wouldn’t have that as both the leads don’t love each other to that level of madness and that larger than life atmosphere will definitely not be there … in TB , there was a grace and dignity about the Khans and Meerab … that kind of sophistication and grace I have not seen in any other ptv show and from the promo it does not seem to be there in mein too … see it’s one thing to be rich but another to carry it with a panache which Khans did …. A simple thing like Khan mansion looked outstandingly magnificent… its aura was so overpowering whereas the same house doesn’t look half as good in mein promos ….

That is true.

Is Badar a good director?

I don’t know much about the directors!

Also people may get disappointed bcs there is so much hype!

Bcs everyone in their head wanting to see great romance like TB! If they lack that people will be disappointed

I've watched 3 of Badar's dramas - Bala, Cheekh, and Dunk. All of them starred Bilal abbas Khan and I believe they were all hits. His dramas tend to have an eerie and mysterious tone to them and his antagonists are very eccentric/interesting. For some reason, his protagonists all suffer A LOT throughout the course of the drama. I actually enjoyed his three dramas with Bilal because they all had equally strong protagonists and antagonists, which made it interesting. I think it also helped that I binge-watched them so I was able to skip too much of the suffering scenes without losing patience. His dramas don't usually have prominent romance tracks.

Much Pyaar Hua Tha was the first time I saw him attempt an all-out romance and it was done pretty bad. Plus, in MPHT, the protagonist was VERY weak and the antagonist wasn't interesting. I think it will be better if Badar sticks to his strengths and makes Mein go in the Bala/Cheekh direction - low on romance, high on suspence. From the trailers, Ayeza seems similar to his typical antagonists from the above 3 dramas, hopefully Wahaj's character is stronger than Saad. The only risk is how much Wahaj's character will suffer, because it definitely will. And the writer, Zanjabeel, also likes misery so there will be no shortage.. 🥱

Also, in Bala/Dunk, the male lead does end up with Azeka's character, so there are high chances that Wahaj and Azeka's characters will be end game. Maybe Wahaj might play up the romance on his end just to please fans. I'm sure there will be romantic scenes, but it probably won't be the main focus.

. . I binge watched Dunk and Cheekh….cheekh would have been a great show had Saba’s husband didn’t die…that was totally unnecessary and didn’t serve any purpose …I am glad I was binge watching it so I skipped most parts after his death and just went straight to the end…Dunk was good, I am glad no unnecessary tragedy was inserted and it had a happy end…professor had to die because that’s the main plot but other than that no major tragedy and antagonist got punished and it ended on a happy note. Even MPHT had a happy end so I think Badar should be ok…rest it depends on the fans, how dedicated they are… TB fans managed to make the makers change a few things , let’s see if Mein fans have that in case if need arises.

In bold …thsts the reason I think this time end game won’t be the second lead coz it’s already been done twice so I don’t think they will repeat it.

Good point, chances are strong for either case. Will be interesting to see who he ends up with.

. Meerasim bedroom is Mubashra’s bedroom but looks absolutely bland….no vibes…Meerasim bedroom looked so classy ….had a lump in my throat though . Mirror is the same, closet is the same ….blue sofa isn’t there 😂😂…. Loved Wahaj & Ayesha both….Wahaj is supposed to be in love with Ayekha but there is absolutely NO chemistry…infact I felt Wahaj and Ayeza had better chemistry whatever little they were shown together but there is NO WAY it can come close to Meerasim …Absolutely NO CHANCE and I seriously doubt it would surpass TB in terms of views and trps …. Since TB started till it ended ,it didn’t let any other show come close to it ….even after epi 46 it held high…its viewership didn’t falter 👏👏👏…. No matter what ppl say but the fact remains TB was phenomenal.
