I think nowadays hum is going for whoever is available for a drama and not choosing who is right for the role. I heard they changed 3 female leads for jok sarkar. None of the top actresses are doing a hum project except maya. Umera and Farhat are doing dramas outside hum now. Most of their top writers and directors who were mostly exclusive to them are shaking hands with other production houses. Even Mahira is doing projects on ary and express. Isn't she like their top fav?

I am hearing that hum is not giving sajal any projects after the divorce. Bilal and sajal were the initial choices for hum tum and sajal was supposed to do baktawar. Both changed. Good that she didn't do baktawar. She from no angle can pass off as a guy. She is too petite and feminine looking to even remotely pass off as a guy.

I don't think directors writers can be considered exclusive to particular channel. If you are talking about Umera, she has collaborated with geo in the past and even kashif nisar has worked in other channels. Shehzaad kashmiri still directed neem and Hanias last show on hum was in Sang e Mah. She was also in Hum awards so I don't think its anything its because there is some issue. Farhat is the only one who i can think is exclusive to hum. But then maybe the show had better director so she opted another channel or might be issues with hum too. We never know.

Still I think the writers write according to channel. Just like Hashin nadeem write jhok sarkar and jhoom which are very differnt according to the channel requirement. Last season hum choose powerful actress in most show. But this time it seems they are preferring powerful actors. They have Farhaan Saeed, Danish Taimoor, Faysal qureshi, and Bilal abbas in the upcoming shows.

Coming to Sajal I don't have any idea about it. I hope there is not a fallout as I still prefer Hum over other channels. And would love to see sajal back in hum shows. There were rumors that she shooted for one episode. Then there were also rumors Arsalaan being the lead. I heard he gave test look and was rejected. Maybe same case for Sajal too as she doesn't have manly features. Also somebody in the reddit said that sajal took some break midway since she was sick. I think it might be the case because even in Kuch Ankahi she wasn’t sounding very good.

I meant the actresses and not actors. It's like they spend all the money on the actors so they don't have enough money to get an A list actress opposite them. Look at the casting of actresses opposite all the guy. All are new comers except Hiba. She is the only one with hit prime time shows under her belt but she isn't exactly an A Lister either. In yunhi maya is opposite bilal ashraf. She is more of a star than him. Same with baktawar. Yumna is bigger than both the guys vast opposite her.

Ary's big projects coming up are mein and Jaan e Jahan and both have leads who are equally popular. Even green is bringing humayun and yumna together.

When was the last time hum had two A list actors together in a drama? I cannot recall any recent ones.

I know writers and directors are not exclusive to a channel but some writers and directors work with a particular channel or production houses the most. Like qasim Ali murid who mostly does ary shows even though he did meri shehzadi for hum. Kasif nizar mostly does hum dramas and only onces in a while goes out. Same with umera.

hum has had issues with paying people so maybe that plays a part in them not hiring two a listers for one drama . Geo seems to be the richest channel right now followed by ary

Mawra is an A Lister but neither arslaan nor the other guy is. What I am saying is only one of the two leads will be an A Lister and the other will be a new comer or lesser known actor.

Geo shows are mostly produced by 7th sky and we all know how their dramas are like. Most of the top actors don't do those kind of dramas.
