DT wedding won't happen anytime soon but they are together so I don't really care, after marriage plot gets boring and kitchen politics sadly with ITV.

Yeah, keeping them single is best as far as they are together. Rest, I don't mind. Who wants to watch "rasode mein kon tha" I rather their sneaky romantic scenes, and that need to get married rather than actual marriage. After that everything changes and its a cryfest, and plain boring sadly.

Same - I was like the f**k he came from and why now? He had all this time to stop the wedding but he let them dance and sing and now he turns up like a bad penny with his stupid stick. Or he could have cursed them back when he was in the palace - anyway for me its the curse concept which is hard to follow and that's why I am finding it very funny.

I did watch Diya Baati and liked it for a while. The last show that I watched and liked was Choti Sardarni and then I tried watching GHKPM and got a whiplash from the story so stopped. That’s why I keep harping on about a good ML - it’s once bitten twice shy situation now 😂

I was a little wary of DT because of the PH, but so far it's been pretty decent.

For example, if DT was a Ekta production, I would probably watch it for the casting and till the leads fall in love. Anything close to marriage or afterwards one can safely quit. EK does casting well, but her stories are repetitive on other fronts (jail, hospital, kidnapping, courts, MU/separation and leap- you can literally predict the sequence in some cases 😆)

A good ML and plots that resonate more with the urban Indian audience- you're more likely to find these on Sony (and to some extent SAB, who are owned by Sony too) than other channels.

I've seen folks praise Katha Ankahee (on Sony) and Sapnon ki Chaalang (Sony, but ending due to TRP) in recent times. Ishk par Zor Nahin, Story 9 Months Ki (also on Sony) were quite nice too.

The channel plays a massive role. Star are probably the biggest channel, but also the worst in terms of TRP pressure- they want their channel dominating at every slot. And the flawed nature of the TRP system (nobody I know has a TRP meter) means that the readings are horribly skewed- Mumbai for example, has one TRP meter for every 10,000 folks or something, means that plots cater to the lowest common denominator in most cases.
