I think it was Saima akram who told that's the only way she was show that many interactions between the leads. They will be living in the same household or near by and they can freely meet and have scenes. I think chand tara is her only ramdhan show where the leads are not cousins and Tara is the only female lead who was an independent working woman. So she could freely met her boyfriend. Other female leads were college going or university going students.

Nadeem baig and Ahmad sir also said they didn't want to show cousin marriages in KA and that's why every single couple didn't had any relation except shakeel and tanya but there was no love story there.

From what I understood, it's difficult to show the leads meeting or interacting if they are not cousins as the female leads in dramas mostly stayed at home.

This and making Chai every single time for everyone 😆

I can think of a few Yeh Dil Mera where leads were childhood friends, YKS where they were working in the same hospital, all Ramadan romcoms have cousin marriage except Fairytale I believe and HumTum (?). There is Anaa but only Izza and Altamash were not cousins, Daneen and whatever his name was, were related. But mostly I think the males are related to the family in one way or another.
