I think it is Yumna’s personal preference. She is more conservative it seems in dressing, as compared to others, which is completely fine. I respect that. I just think she could have styled it better. Maybe a shawl instead of the scalloped, tussled, hideous tacky early 90s blazer :s (Ask me how I really feel 😆)
I agree with you re the tucking her hair behind the ear look. It annoyed me to no end and just seemed like lazy styling b/c that seemed to be her “go to” look when she was trying to portray being distressed etc. but I don’t think it was necessary or nice looking at all.
But kudos to Yumna for rising above her terrible makeup and styling for this commercial drama where people look for those things. Despite that, she managed to still create magic onscreen and capture our attention etc. I imagine very few can do that!

I looked up review where Yumna is being called old , many were criticizing lady who pointed Yumna as misfit in first episode but I resonate with some of her point , mostly dressing style n caricaturized portrayal. Maybe meerub as character was bratty n arrogant but it was indeed not likable or impressive from any perspective.
I hope if Yumna take note of this as constructive criticism n work of her styling n see what works for her n what not, for sure she needs to stop tucking hair back with that bun, also noticed she is overly covered n dressy in western outfits, is it cultural thing bz i have seen other pakistani actress wearing revealing cloths too?
