So this season, Ram as a character is actually very shallow, or you may say, rude, insensitive or unkind whatever. Day by day my dislike for him is just increasing, and whenever I compare the two rams from s2 and s3, unme actually zameen aasman ka farak hai. Whatever this ram says is just superficial at its best. He doesn't have any care or sensitivity towards anyone in the circle, except his mom. Not even his friends and relatives make it there, leave strangers.

Inn words ke saath saath, you can also include - ungrateful, selfish, egoistic, self-centred, self-absorbed, narcissistic and a few more which I cannot write here.

He is you know sort of those people, who can say the most beautiful and poetic things, but can act on none. Jab baat pyaar ko describe karne ki aayi thi, tab you may remember usne kitna bada bhashan diya tha, pyaar ye pyaar wo bla bla, but then when it comes to respect and responsibility towards priya's mom dad, he is zero. Pyaar sirf uski jaan ke liye, aur apni kriti baby ke liye. Wo dono iss duniya me kuch paise ke liye nahi karte, baaki sab log paise ke liye sab karte hain, that's what he feels.

So as I read here, if makers tried to reverse ram and Priya in s2 with raya here, they have actually failed miserably in ram's character. Priya ka character in s2 was too deep, layered and nuanced. She was cynical, but to a point of logic, plus she was not insensitive rude or unkind to others. She was just not over sugary like ram. Otherwise she was very normal and knew the importance of responsibility and respect. But ram here is not even 1% of that. Completely opposite and unlikable. Before I go on to write some more dislike for him, let's change the topic.

100% agree. Their role reversal tactic failed bigtime because they eff-ed up Ram's character sketch bigtime.

Now regarding the breakup or heartbreak of priya. First of all, imo, even if as per ram priya ka breakup kitne saal ya kitne mahine pehle hua hai, it doesn't matter. He is no one to tell her to move on and deal with it, just because he was not able to keep yuvi away from the marriage, which too, was nkt for Priya but her parents, when at the end of the day, priya is doing this for his mom.

Moving on has to be priya's choice. He's no one to tell her when to move on and when not, even if she has been stuck on it for whatever number of years, coz emotions are complicated, and a person's emotions should be respected.

EXACTLY!smiley14

Definitely she should move on for her better, and he should motivate her for that, that is a different thing, but pressuring her or arguing, that too when he's at mistake, and saying that yuvi is his trusted and close to him, when priya has a closer relationship with ram as of now coz she is his wife, is really very insulting. That line when he said ki wo meri family yaani aloo ki family hai and is close to me, when you're talking to your own wife, triggered me a lot, irrespective of a fake or real marriage.

Perfectly said Nitya. That is something that triggered me so bad that I started hating Ram's character. Ye Ram main lead hai ya negative, mujhe samajh hi nahi aa raha at this point.

If we remember, in s2, ram was the one who believed in one sided love and used to love vedu even after marriage and was stuck on her for so many years. And this thing was celebrated by his so called fans like as if it's the best thing in the world, the same fans on birdland who must be saying today that ram's dialogue to priya to move on and deal with it was spot on and she should not be stuck. Everything is just fine when ram does it, even if wrong. If we want even we can point fingers at that, ki tab to ganga jamuna behti thi uski aankho se when he used to see shashi vedu together. But we respected his emotions and what he felt and it was fine if he loved vedu even after breakup. But when it comes to Priya this season, somehow she has to move on for whatever reason, which, again should be her choice. But no, move on, deal with it, bla bla...!

So basically my thinking here was ki it was very bad and shallow of ram to say that, and it felt really bad to me, so I wanted to say all this, and here I have written. Sorry for stretching this so long.

Though frustrated with both the leads, I really liked the way DP is emoting through her eyes..the sadness , disappointment with a tint of surprise ...everything was there, in those eyes of hers , after Ram lashed out. Nakuul too portrayed the frustration and disappointment, when Pri didn't understand his pov, beautifully through his body language.

No wonder Ekta loves them

Both Ram and Priya , have some huge expectations from this contract marriage though

I completely agree with your POV.

Didn’t Priya start this game of playing God in other people’s lives? She lied about Yuvi to Alekhya, making her own judgement about what is good for Alekhya & dispensing her “mahanta”. Alekhya came to her for the truth, not for her mahaan life coaching. Who is she to interfere in Alekhya’s relationship or make decisions about her feelings?

I don’t like the S3 Ram’s shallow self-centred character, but here Ram is doing the same thing as Priya, by interfering in her ex-relationship & judging what is good for her.

But Ram is doing it under the impression that it has been 2 yrs since their breakup, so I wld call it giving a reality check, not being insensitive or interfering. According to Ram, thanks to Priya’s own lies, Yuvi is a good guy & also his best friend’s would-be so why should he ignore such a person for a woman who is holding on to a failed relationship for 2 years??

Even if Priya had broken up two years ago, (from Ram's pov), that doesn't mean Ram could just ask Priya to snap out of her feelings. Not everyone loves the same way, and so not everyone can get detached the same way. It's Priya's feelings, hence only Priya gets to decide when it is time to move on.

Besides, Ram just promised to support her in whatever path of happiness she chooses, to her parents, just two minutes ago. At least for three months of their marriage. Can he at least be a little sensitive towards her? She is like ruining her whole life for his mother's surgery with this contract marriage. (Very stupid decision, Priya! Also, she shouldn't have lied to Alekha.)

I said the same! Ram’s shallowness and all apart, his judging Priya unfortunately has its basis in Priya’s own statements to both him and Alekha And for a 3 month contract marriage, why would anyone jeopardize their personal relations with people then intent to keep around themselves long after the contract is done! Ram, here is clearly getting the most out of this..his mom’s surgery, GF on one side and contract wife on the other which whom he gets touchy feely now and then without a second thought about his GF, he’s living his life comfortable in his own house surrounded by his people. Seriously Priya, you could have used your brains a little bit! Also, didn’t Priya want to teach UV a lesson showing him she can move on. If UV is not there, who is she going to show off to? 🤪
