IPS is for Police Services which posts starts from ACP/ASP and IAS is for Administrative Services which posts starts from ADC/DC/Collector.

Both have to give UPSC only, if there's no preference attached, Top 100/80 UPSC rank holders in all categories get IAS posts and then IPS

If SaiRat got another daughter the new Savi might have fitted so well but for me she is not looking like Extention of little Savi played by Aru excellently. Infact it is difficult to accept any one in Aria’s place. Not watching but got to see clips of Savi.

IPS is Indian police service and IAS Indian administrative service. They are selected through a single test which is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Toppers usually go for IAS but Virat wanted to fulfill Kaku's dream, so he joined IPS.

All of them give UPSC...

IAS is most preferred and is generally chosen by top rankers only.

IPS is mostly selected by those who want to join police forces.

Fun trivia... Arvind Kejriwal is a retired IRS officer.
