Arjun wanted to kill Jaydrath because he had a boon that barring arjun none of the other 4 Pandavas can defeat him, so effectively cutting the abhimanyu support system inside Chakravyuh.

I don't think Bhoomi (even Mahajan) is so snobbish that she will mind her daughter marrying an employee, but she might have an issue if the guy actually does something anti Mahajan
