Hema is the only one who managed to defy him and continued her career etc or Abhay Deol who does his own thing.
His kids obey and listen to him. Esha is the only one who defied him a bit by getting into sports or films or TV.
Ahana totally obeyed and got married though once she had hoped to be director.
Kids from Prakash Kaur totally toe Dharam's line and accept what he does, whether they like it or not or regret later or have affairs later etc. They rather feel guilty if they defy him and cry and get emotional about him. They fight anyone be it media or fans to follow Dharam. Old fashioned papa ke laadle that way.
Bobby's marriage wasn't arranged. He wooed Tanya for ages before she even said Yes to go on a date with him. She comes from a Billionaire Business family & a massive ego. They hire these actors to dance at their weddings. Bollywood is beneath them. It was her father who needed the convincing, not Dharmendra.
Neither did Pooja Bhatt and his relationship ever reach that stage. Neelam was rejected by Dharmendra but to be fair to the Old man, Bobby was extremely young & Neelam did not have the best reputation especially her long affair with Govinda who was a married man.
