Jai is waiting with his vidhi and jai mugs for vidhi to come learn driving with him.
Vidhi and hubs are enjoying their morning. Dev teaches her the basics of getting comfortable in a car, how to use the mirrors and all. She gets in and is about to put the seatbelt on when dev pouts - he is like you took away a perfect opportunity from me to get close with my wife, flirt a little. Vidhi immediately complies - and is like dev ji please help me put my seatbelt on ššš she notices the manual gear and is like oh no whatās this. She says jai had me drive an automatic car, and that was so easy. Dev is like itās very simple- youāll be able to pick it up very quickly. The advantage is youāll be able to drive both a manual shift and an automatic gear car. Vidhi starts driving. Jai is waiting for her and call her, dev cuts the call.
vidhi is driving slowly and she is doing well. Jai calls again and dev tells her Jai is calling her - but his advice is donāt pick up now, itās your personal time and youāre doing something else. Vidhi doesnāt pick up.
jai gets upset and throws the mugs.
Later dev and vidhi come back home and theyāre surprised to see jai there talking to chithra about their school days.
Chithra sees dev and vidhi and is like jai was her school mate.
Jai asks vidhi why she dint pick up his calls or texts - he was waiting for her. Vidhi remembers what dev told about boundaries - and is like I was with my husband, learning driving. Itās not even 7 AM - itās too early.
Dev is annoyed but is polite and asks him to have tea. Priya and abhi bring tea.
Sidenote everyone is way too well dressed for 7 AM. Esp priya - sheās Wedding ready š
dev pours a cup of tea for Jai, vidhi serves dev and herself. Dev tells jai that you look a little impatient the tea is hot take your time. Jai is like Iām fast not impatient - I donāt need time to understand a person or anything. He has been weirdly just staring at/observing vidhi all this while and dev has picked up on that. Jai points out to a chip jn the cup he has and implies a comparison between the cup and dev - taking a dig at dev. Dev says there is a lot of difference between people and a cup, and replaces his tea. Dev comments on the tea being weak and jai immediately jumps in and counters - surprising everyone. Dev again brushes it off.
There was something else that jai said that I dint understand. Everyone looked shocked and then jai laughs it off saying he was just kidding.
Jai asks vidhi to get ready and that heāll take her to work. Vidhi is like itās just 7, too early for work. He says something about prepping for a meeting. Dev says she was pretty clear and that sheāll find her way to the office. Jai tries to make it seem like it was a test for vidhi whether she will be direct or not. He tells vidhi that Mr. Raichand wonāt always be there to help her. Dev is like she wonāt need me either, sheās young, not stupid.
vidhi tries to get him to leave saying sheāll see him at work. Jai before leaving apologizes to deb about the accident. Dev says he understands that he just lost his dad and is going through some stuff and tries to advise him to not be so impatient. Jai tells him he doesnāt need his advice.
Jai leaves and chithra sees him to the door - priya gets excited about a potential chithra-Jai pairing š±š±š±
The family is having a good time talking about vishisht driving, and jai looks in, disappointed that vidhi chose to not come with him.
This whole sequence was well done - it was definitely a pissing contest from Jaiās perspective - but dev was as cool as a cucumber - completely unfazed - he just observed jai and used this time to see what makes him tick. Jai just kept getting upset that he was unable to make a dent in devās calmness.
later in the morning, dev is looking at some files when vidhi, ready for work comes and presses his shoulder. Dev pulls her on his lap and says he is proud of her for standing upto someone who was trying to dominate her. He tells her that no boss has the right up just show up at an employees house and pressurize them into going somewhere. She says that she gets her strength from him. they have a sweet moment.
Hamla have come to see Jai and HP very hesitatingly tells hai they donāt want to do business with him. And that theyāre going into business with the Raichands. Jai tries to tell them wait for marketing etc etc. But bims stands her ground and says she doesnāt want to work with them. I am super proud of bims, she was direct and no-nonsense. I see why dev says that there is a businesswoman inside Bims ā¤ļøā¤ļø
They leave. Jai is upset and is sure that it is Devs plan to keep vidhi and her family away from him š¤Ŗš¤Ŗš¤Ŗš¤Ŗ
