Yes true it is, also his objection to Rohail is he professes saccha pyaar but runs away from Murtasim instead of having a spine and professing his ❤️ in front of murtasim. Murtasim being meerab's protector would have left her, if meerab is interested in Rohail which isn't the case, because after Rohail fiasco meerab tried to sort out meerasim issues not how can he hurt Rohail or something, she didn't even utter gyaan about forgiving like during MZ time. So, he knows very well they have nothing and the terrace jump is to test her commitment to him and their relationship.

But the point is also that meerab never promised him love while murtasim guaranteed an eternity of his ishq no less. Her over everything and everyone and always.

He may has some intentions of love towards her but

Sure they can make a marriage work. Like so many people do. A lifetime of sadness and a feeling of hurt with a companion you love to hate and hate to love. But it all feels empty but if they're good with that then that's great.

His wife left and I’m guessing it’s been over a year. It isn’t just a separation, she’s left in the middle of the night without saying anything. She’s never told him he loved her so what reason should he have to trust her? The same way, I understand why Meerab suspected Murtasim. She caught him in a comprising position and prior to that he wasn’t super excited like he usually is to her. He’s throwing accusations at her and she’s throwing accusations at him about Haya. I know Murtasim has accepted marrying Haya in the promo but I don’t think he ever had an interest in her before. She’s constantly throwing herself at him, he could have had at least a physical reaction with her if he was even the least bit interested.

Anyway, I’m just not understanding why Murtasim owes Meerab so much when she left him. I know he talks a big talk and I sincerely believe he will never stop loving her but does he owe her loyalty? I hate him agreeing to marry Haya too, I’m sure everyone does but that’s because she is just plain evil. I don’t take it as a betrayal to Meerab though, because she isn’t there and left without a trace. He doesn’t even know if she loves him and probably assuming that she doesn’t since she just disappeared on him. So although he can continue loving her, I don’t understand why he would need to stay loyal. I know he’s always claimed to love her no matter what but these circumstances are not just a regular separation. I think it was cruel to leave him and her family without telling them her whereabouts.

At this point I don’t know what is worse, Murtasim marrying Haya or Meerab hiding the baby from Murtasim.

To me they are both flawed

Murtasim behaviour is quite normal with no apparent psychological issues. He's honestly a bichaara who had to grow up quickly, beyond his age and had to live with his individual self caged within. Meerab is his only respite who's different from the conventional grind of his house. Hence, he wants her to take over the reins of his house and change everything.

Definitely, he's written as a very intelligent character, the calmer and assertive he's the dangerous it gets for the other person. Meerab knows this too well. Hence, obeys him when he's in his calm and assertive mode. Ex:breakfast after waleema night, he gestures with knives to serve him tea and she responds, the drive to Karachi after MZ fiasco she didnt utter a word, etc

WA the actor deserves credit👏 for giving a specific voice modulation and expression to a specific emotion of murtasim. Each emotion has its own flavors and variations.

Well said and I am totally agreeing with you (the last comment on my previous post was just to lighten up, I don't think he has any psychological disorder 😉).

I always maintained that these two characters are 'perfectly flawed' - normal humans, and I love them for that. My last television outing, before TB, was a decade+ ago. Few clips of TB and I decided that I should give this a try. And whatever I might say, it was the story, dialogues and some beautiful camera work that got me hooked first. Then, slowly, but steadily, YZ and WA acting took over. Their subtle expressions are my favourites. They both are brilliant. Not only the expressions, their body languages also have stories of their own. Kudos to both of them. In fact, all the cast (except Haya and Rohail) is quite perfect - the team really hit a jackpot with their casting choices!
