Things aren't really making sense to me. Maharaj knew about Mahavir's plan? Why is he in for testing what Dhruv can do for Tara unless Mahavir has told him about what the duo feels for each other which kinda feels weird.

In Tara's room, she's looking at the framed photo, and thinks if only the marriage wasn't fake. The servants come and kidnap her. They push her into a box, but not before Tara injures one of them, causing blood to drip from the servant's hands.

Mahavir is seen talking to the King. Senapati comes to meet the King, but is stopped by the guards.

Dhruv notices the box being taken away. Tara bangs away at the box from inside, but the servant does a counter rattle on the top to confuse Dhruv. He reaches her room, sees unconscious guards outside, takes a look at the scene, and guesses that she must have been kidnapped.

He follows the trail of the blood and reaches the room where Tara has been kept in the box. He imitates the voice of a chakor, and hears the noise created by Tara's banging.

Dhruv steps into the room, and is confronted by two assailants. He manages to subdue them and gets Tara out of the box. One of the assailants seems to inflict a neck injury on himself, and Dhruv says he can't leave him there else he'd die. Tara is stunned, but agrees to bring his medicine and her brother.

Dhruv administers aid. The assailant says he cannot lie to the person who saved his life, and says Mahavir was behind this. Tara is questioning him, when the King steps in, and says this was done to prove that Dhruv would cross all limits to save her life, even if it meant putting his own in danger.

Senapati is frustrated because the King is not meeting him, and he's not being allowed to meet the King either. The Rajpurohit tells this has all started to happen because of the Chikitsak.

Precap- Mahavir asks Dhruv and Tara whether they accept each other (in the presence of the King). They say yes, and Mahavir welcomes Dhruv to the family. Tara is rejoicing on her bed. Dhruv comes to meet her, and says the mangalsutra wasn't tied last time, and says he will tie it properly today.

I think maharaj also liked the idea of Dhruv and tara being together, as he has seen Dhruv is really a very nice guy, and as a father he would like to see her with q good person. But later when senapati will ask for his vow of Tara's marriage to samrat, then maharaj will change parties.

I think Mahavir does tell the Maharaj about it, because the King is present in the precap with Dhruv and Tara.

They're really running with the pace of the episode though- this little kidnap planning + execution + reveal would've stretched for at least two (if not more) on the likes of Rangu and Sitara.

The baba/pundit seems to talk about the wheels of time, and I don't think Senapati is aware of Dhruv's status as a time-traveller. So while the initial suspicion goes towards Rajpurohit/Senapati, this line probably takes them out of the equation.

Although one could also simply assume it to be a generic statement (if the priest is indeed sent by Senapati), that by not marrying Tara to Senapati and marrying her to Dhruv, it changes the supposed timeline, and it's a ploy of those two to get Dhruv out of the way.

If you assume that the priest isn't sent by Senapati, what he speaks makes technical sense in a weird way.

Their marriage will affect the time line- true.

Dhruv's "death" is certain because he is technically wiping himself out of the timeline by going to the 17th century (and possibly staying there by marrying her)

And that "death" comes by Bhaiji because he is encouraging the marriage, and creating a new timeline where the current Dhruv probably wipes his future self out of existence.
