In ITV wife leaving husband & coming back with child post years is very common. They never throw the accusation that wife is characterless just because she left home without telling anyone.
Hilarious part is even conservative khan family didn't thought meerab ran away until murtasim mentioned rohail name
Their first reaction was did u had fight with meerab, does something happened which made her leave
Their questions were valid. Something indeed happened which triggered her to leave. Which is the fight & sex she had with her husband because of haya.
The fact which only murtasim knows
Instead of telling the truth he choosed to spread an assumption as fact without even thinking about other possibilities.
Had murtasim didn't mention about rohail, no one would have thought she ran away with rohail. They would have mostly thought she left because she didn't like to stay in the marriage.
Glad to know people in khan family who didn't right away thought worst of meerab until they made to believe about rohail are more humane than liberal families in US.
The pressing question for Khan family is not why they fought or why she left but where did she run off to.
If some young girl in your family has disappeared without $$$ phone id or anything, you search for them in likely places and not sit back and chill because you have learnt why they ran off. The first priority is safe return not a psychological examination of why they ran off.
The possibilities where Merub could have gone are:
Parents. She was not there,
Her friends. Saba was out of town and Rohail was missing having just skipped town (which sounds suss).
She was not in a hotel, hostel, or a hospital (we saw MK tell the police to search these places). Hospital could mean either hurt in an accident or dead.
She had not taken a bus or plane to skip town (we heard Farrukh say that MK has men scouring these places).
She had no money, no phone, no ID, no passport, no possessions.
Nobody in their right mind would think that she would be stupid enough to roam the streets of Karachi and go off to live in some rando's house. Even 10-year-olds know better.
If you take all this into account, what seems the most plausible option. Maybe her friend Rohail, who coincidentally left town same day, is helping her hide? If you were to go to the cops, this would be their first avenue of investigation too.
MK himself only ever said Rohail took her. Even Haya says to him why don't you believe she ran off with Rohail and he says shut up. Although for MB and others to think that she eloped with Rohail, once all other explanations above have been disproved, is what a typical Pakistani would think based on the circumstantial evidence.
But for MK to stay mute and not correct these presumptions of MB and others is wrong.
