I don’t know if they buy them for good but have seen how they block the tickets and make it look like houseful online. I have personally been to the shows where we saw the tickets being sold out online but when you actually sit in the theater and look around it would not even be half filled.

I thought it was public knowledge that producers buy tickets sometimes. That, along with hiked ticket rates, adds to box office numbers.

Have no idea why they are going out of the way to do this publicly for Adipurush though.

Yeh I've heard of this happening, they sometimes say a show is houseful but in reality its not. And then there's the trade analysts being made to inflate numbers, some giving a film one verdict and others giving a completey different verdict. Different analysts giving different numbers about the budget.

This whole box office scenario in bollywood is a complete mess, so much lying and tactics

It is indeed a mess but more importantly a scam to fool the innocent ticket buying audience.

Yes, Its all become a desperate attempt to make a movie a hit or a blockbuster just to boost the stardom of the actor and the director.

Even if the movie isn't a true hit they will go all out to make it look like its a hit with social media posts and paying trade analysts to fool the audience

For example, TJMM is not a hit, even Himesh on twitter said its got the average verdict, but the producers have made it look like it is a hit. And then there is brahmastra where there is huge speculation about it not being a hit because of the budget, but the producers already declared it a success
