He blamed Yumna. When asked about the slap, He said the slap was in the script, W did not want to do it but Yumna was okay. i don't understand the point of bringing that up. Didn't take the responsibility as a director
šššIsko director kisne banaya hai yaar.
He really wants only the credit that the show was hit but not for the bad parts. That slap was very controversial so he just stepped aside and put blame on actors. Wah Bhai wah. šš
Does directors normally do this? I have never seen such a thing.

I found his views as problematic as nooran's. He told murtasim is feudal lord so he doesn't need to give explanation when interviewer asked why he didn't explain meerab the reason of not getting down from car during kidnap track.
He also told haya is not evil. They tried to make audience relate to her by playing bgm for her.

Not surprised. Dil Nasheen was made to feel guilty and had to apologize to her husband for the same he was doing to her.
When the director has bias towards a character it shows in the scenes. When he himself did not understand Meerabās character how can he portray her character well on screen?
Both the writer and the director did injustice to Meerabās character. Writer by not giving Meerabās point of view at important scenes and director by not understanding the character.
Donāt the actors, writer and the director sit and discuss the characters before the shooting?
There was a discussion on when Murtasim fell in love few hours back here.
Directorās answer: He fell in love at first sight when she fell in his arms after the slap. What is this answer?
Writerās answer: Shadi k bad mohabbat ho hi jaati hai.
When the writer and director have different answers how can the fans know when did Murtasim fall in love.

He is not even pretending to take token responsibility for the mess. Why don't the writer or the director find haya evil? Are all of us, the audience complete idiots.
Though i remember that yumna said that she and wahaj fought alot during the shooting bec of how they wanted a scene to go. From what siraj has said about how yumna was ok with the slap, i think wahaj caught the pulse of what the audience would like better than yumna.. He understood that he had to avoid going into the toxic territory as much as possible to endear to the viewers.
Add to that sirajs love for murtasim, it's no wonder that murtasim had a better character sketch than meerub.
He is not going to find her......so closešš
Those last scenes are nice⦠him looking out the window and her hiding right outside. https://twitter.com/anvishts/status/1667530516013387776?s=46&t=V2mT-DctogLM7xf_uELgzw

You should watch his IV, it felt like he personally hates Merab's character. He completely disregarded any trauma or problem that Merab faced in her journey. It was self-created according to him.
