Has his love not been unconditional so far?? Her every mistake/angry reaction/flaws/silliness he has accepted and defended and has even gone against his better judgment to please and support her. And that too while getting absolutely nothing, not even a ray of hope, in return from her.

Shouldn't it be the other way around... shouldn't Meerab promise to love him unconditionally? She has a list of conditions attached to even tolerate him, forget about accepting him.
