Another reason might be

They wantedly made him say that to make people believe MR didn't happen.

I won't believe it until they show the scene where meerab herself initiated it. I want flashback

There is no chance that meerab tried to leave him after slapping him, he pushed her to bed, he closed the door, she suddenly initiated intimacy. Something happened in between.

I also feel that they wanted to tell people it was not MR through the monologues.

@Bold: Exactly. I read a comment regarding this that she slapped and spat on him thinking that he had an affair with Haya. And he got angry saying that he would show his worth and the agreement's worth and closed the door. Then suddenly she initiated it? It doesn't make any sense.

My personal opinion is it was MR. And I stand by it until the time I get proper explanation from the TB team in the interviews.
