Ok..in a nutshell my biggest issue @bold:I hated this about how everything went down.

The union of these two was supposed to be amazing…fireworks…passion…release…a sense of “FINALLY”. It was supposed to be beautiful. Instead, she chose to write it in such a way that these two are actually ashamed of having CONSENSUAL SEX WITH THEIR SPOUSE??? Like, WTF. What the Actual F. Out of all the ways a story could go??!!! Nobody …NOBODY…in real life or reel life…needs to be ashamed of WILLINGLY having sex with their spouse, even in a moment of weakness b/c consent implies that there was desire and want on both sides. There’s nothing wrong with sexual desire for your spouse. That Nooran has turned consensual sex into something that results in mirror breaking shame and self-harm, and running away in the middle of the night and going underground…I mean…that in itself is so messed up. We can try and justify their actions all we want…but it’s actually pretty f’ed up that she chose to go this way with THIS consenting couple.
