In the reaction video of Episode 48, Raj told that he understood why Meerab did not go to her adoptive parents. It was because trust issues were not easily resolved. I also read somewhere something like that she was betrayed by the people she trusted. So I think it is not easy for her to trust anyone.
Sorry but NM has shown meerab dumb in this episode.She does not need to have trust but needed survival instinct because at night, in karachi she would be wayyyy more safe at her home instead of roaming in streets especially at the place where crime rate is so high.
So, NM has not given her agency because she wanted to show fl in misery which she could not show if meerab went to waqas house.
