I know. I saw her in Dil na ummed about trafficking and dar so jati which was about extended family abuse. She didn't look this bad in those but here she looks hell.

They literally could have given us separation from Rohail death and some redemption arc to Murtasim and Meerub, but atleast they never needed to show MR or this illogical consensual but angry love making nonsense to conclude their romance.

I WROTE A WHOLE GODDAMN ESSAY OF THEORIES the other day as to why Meerub and Murtasim looked have looked so distraught and traumatised. That apart from the MR possibility theory included two others, out of which one was Rohail's death and BRO, that would have made x10 times more sense than an angry-consensual sex/consummation (no matter who initiated it/asked for it and who gave in because control nahi hua) 🤔 They still could have retained a few more scenes from the original episode, make Bakhtu inform Murtasim through a call or something that Rohail ended by dying in the whole physical tussle and from there, they could have shown them sitting that way and Murtasim harming himself in the washroom because he never intended to kill Rohail and now he's lost Meerub's trust completely. Meerub leaves because she can't come to the terms that Murtasim could have someone killed for the sake of his ego. And tadaa, separation track. Meesam is some adopted kid or something. Last episode, love confession followed by an izzat and tameezdaar and normal happy consensual sex. But no, khichdi banayenge, woh bhi wahiyaat. 🤪

In todays episode Meerab says-Kya mujhe yeh aazadi chaiye thi bhi ya nahi… lekin is sab se kya faraq padta hai jab maine khud ko hi kho diya.. aur shayad Murtasim tumhein bhi —- what the hell is this dialogue supposed to mean 🙆🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

she ignored everything and lost her self in passion and murtasam gave in

now she thinks murtasam will think low of her

she can’t even face her self

Totally with you on this.

I would have preferred it to be this - I can take the redemption arc of someone who accidentally kills someone without meaning to - because of anger issues (because intention matters). The arc could also be for Meerub to realize the worth of what she has and that her anger issues and misplaced trust and impulsive decisions which are no less damaging (slapping and spitting on him, accusing him, calling him names).

They could even have shown that the happy, consensual consummation and tearing of papers happens before the Maryam track and then all the misunderstandings pile up leading to separation.

These two characters and actors who were running the show and story solely on their romance and "falling in love" did not deserve this kind of conclusion to their story. I am sorry, TB had no story except of 2 people falling in love after being forced into a marriage and EVEN that they could not conclude properly.
