YUDKBH was good at the beginning, but I left it after Samaina left college 😃

My key points for a show

1 Good story/premise

2 Good lead pairing (1 is probably more important than 2 because I often discover good pairs after seeing the story 😃, but 2 often gets me to watch the show first)

3 Channel on which it's airing (generally Sony + SAB/Sitara/Zee/Colors in that order of preference)

4 No overzealous villains (especially within the family)

5 No toxic stories (so I really don't prefer manhandling ML's and Stockholm Syndrome reformation projects)

I watch the show till the main pair falls in love or gets married. Once they do, then things often get stretched and you get irrational stories for separation/drama sake. At which point I check out, and simply follow the odd scene online (case in example KKB with Pranbir currently)

Sony will have a Bijlani + Winget serial soon. I like Bijlani (MJHT), like Winget (Beyhadh) and like Sony in general (crisper stories- Beyhadh, IPZN, S9MK to name a few), so will probably give it a go when it airs.

If this serial was in Colors, I would probably watch it a bit at the beginning, and then lose interest as it inevitably stretches for the drama part (for eg Bepannah)

Oh why? YUDKBH was actually pretty nice all the way. Their growth after marriage was lovely as well. Like they really grew up and they were a rare lead pair that got to live alone after marriage without stupid relatives [though they came once in a while for meals and get-togethers]

Agree. Story / script is key for me as well.

Past few years, I have mostly watched only Sony shows.. they have much a more relatable storyline and a better script.

Been years since I watched a Zee / Star Plus / Colours show HAHA

Yeah I'm done with toxic characters as well, which is majority of ITV.😆

After years, I'm watching a few shows right now - Hum Rahe Na Rahe Hum [Sony], Katha Ankahee [Sony] and Dhruv Tara [SAB]. Also got around to finally watching BR Chopra's Mahabharat on YouTube and damn it was freaking fantastic and well made for its time. What a script, acting and production. I've been telling more people to watch it, esp from the younger generation. So many lessons to learn from it.

I need to go watch Beyhadh.. i remember watching the initial episodes but didn't watch on because I disliked Kushal Tandon but given the cult status it has achieved, I've been thinking of trying it again. Thanks for reminding me!
