Well if we calm down and think properly, the very first scene of the 1st episode started with murtasim going to his enemy's house who was saying that murtasim does not come to him no matter what.But murtasim went there just because of his farmer's daughter's izzat.He truly loves meerab.Even when he saw her in rohail's flat.The type of feudal lords mentality which he has he would have killed rohail and even meerab.But he did not do what usually the feudal lords do and also when he found maryam instead of slapping her or getting angry on her.He hugged his sister but if he had typical feudal lord mentality then honor killing would happen.

I'm saying all these things because it establishes that murtasim respects women.So they cannot change his character just in one episode.
