That's exactly everyone is thinking. Wtf is going on in Aaliya's mind when it comes to asfar. There is no continuity in their scenes or her behaviour towards him. She gets uncomfortable with him and gives him cold shoulders when she thought he is giving her attention. Then she defends him in front of salman and makes elaborated birthday plans for him at his house all by herself.

This was too much n out of Character for her 😕

It has been my grudge for the last 10 years since asmano pe likha why aren't we getting a sajjal sherry show

Finally. Finally I got it

After 10 years I got two of my Jodi's back actually

Adeel Sanam Jung in pyari Mona after subah ka Sitara which was also in 2013

And sajjal sherry here

Unfortunately in pyari Mona Adeel Sanam Jodi aren't explored properly

And here I was thinking sherry to be a cameo but thank god he has a proper role with sajjal

There is chemistry and i personally like shehryar-sajal but their scenes are forced and cringey and it's butchering Aaliya's character. That's what my problem is. The only reason why i finished watching aasmano pe likha is because I liked shehryar-sajal pairing. But it's no where near Bilal and sajal. They have a very natural and organic chemistry both on and offscreen. Offscreen it's not romantic but the chemistry is there. They also are equally amazing actors and gel well together onscreen. They don't need YA type of scenes to attract the audience. Simple eye gestures are enough.

In APL it was different but now i don't find no chemistry at all sorry and I'm not liking aliya at all recently she is giving off vibes

Till yesterday's episode i like Aaliya. Will have to watch next episode to judge her completely. If her acts are being called out and she realises it then it's fine because I don't mind characters that make stupid mistakes and then realises it. But i hope they don't make salman the bad guy for judging her because any person will judge thay situation Aaliya put herself in.

My take is a little different

One, i don't think sheriyar has been given too much screenspace. He is like max 3-4 mins onscreen with like 2 dialogues. There may be discussion ABOUT afsar between other characters but he is not onscreen..

Two, i prefer sajal's pairing with sheriyar more than with bilal but whats the point?

Even though i like them i don't see the point of developing a love triangle when 1) bilal is obviously the hero 2) there are like 4 episodes left.

If they wanted to show a love triangle they should have started by the 2/3 episode not suddenly shoved it in episode 16... why waste screentime when we know that aliya is going to end up with salman and anyways the focus of the show is on the family antics and not the love story ..

So this sudden love angle is just weird and unnecessary

I think the reason why Shehrish has sent Aliya to work for Asfar which Salman mentioned in the meeting is to mend their brother- sister relationship. That's why maybe she is doing those extra efforts 🙂

For a drama with 10+ characters with backstories of their own and 30-40 mins screentime, 3-4mins to the second lead is huge esp when the lead guy most of the times appear for 1-2 mins and his backstory is not at all shown except for a hint like 5-6 episodes ago.

I dont mind the love triangle if Aaliya's behaviour made sense. It's absurd for a show like this to show her going to her boss's house to celebrate his bday at night. Aaliya's behaviour with asfar and her scenes with him looks forced and don't go well with the flow of the drama.

Like you said what's the point of showing all this when it's obvious that Aaliya is gonna end up with Salman. Just to create a love triangle and nothing else. Focus that time on developing the leads relationship so that it don't look rushed at the end. There is hardly 4-5 episodes left and they have to give closure to 10+ characters.
