it had problematic elements from the start.. like the slap and "andar ka jaanwar" and him always threatening about his rights over her body as a husband..and as if he did something very noble for not assaulting her.. and the whole contract theme wasn't about him respecting her physical boundaries, it was about his ego and him sticking it to her that he isn't breaching the contract (this is what it looked like to me).. and when she would be unconscious or sleeping that is when he would caress her hair or touch her face etc..(which fangirls found aww so romantic )..

the fans it seemed like were making this show out to be something deeper than what it always was..
