There is not going to be an assault. No way. Not of any kind. There's not going to be any divorce either. MK is going to come out as good in this scenario. Nothing else.
Meerab-MK
With her hand in elopement and breaking MK's heart after he begged her not to, no one would have thought Meerab could push him even more. But that wasn't the lowest MK could fall, could he? He lost as a husband, son, brother, ruler, his pride, ego, everything was lost here. What could be worse?
Meerab attacked his love for her by bringing in the contract.
Their lack of trust-This was my main issue with the epi. After watching it and thinking about it, I'm relieved.
1. Their bickering at the wedding venue was a proof of their trust in each other.
2. Meerab comparing Rohail's haath pakadna to Haya's hug shows her trust again.
Meerab's Reaction
Meerab reacted the way she did for many reasons, but not because she didn't trust him.
She has given him her trust time and again, accepted his explanations, reasons, and accepted H in their life. Soup? Gajra? Gao?
This bedroom interaction mirrored their gao fight. Same excuses. Same dialogues. And MK again Brought in Haya to explain. Meerab didn't like it then, and she didn't like it now. Her issue is only with her husband. No one else. Which is why she asks him not to shout at Haya. She doesn't care about H, cause she knows how Haya is.
But, did MK put any boundaries? No. Tumhare ek ishaare pe she will be on you again. I mentioned this earlier, the shopping scene was there for a reason.
1. She was furious for having given him trust always and for him having taken it for granted every time.
2. Adding to that, he questioned her and called her besharam.
3. He never gave her a chance to explain.
4. He called her Haya right before the room incident.
She knows he didn't mean any of that, and she knows he trusts her as well. But she did catch them in a compromising position. And Meerab has always been more intense.
5. But she is furious at the double standards here.
She turns venomous. She wants to hurt him. And she is as possessive as him, if not more.
All her demons are exposed and expressed in this interaction. Jealousy, possessiveness, abandonment issues, her self-respect, everything. She wants to test him as far as she can. She gives her final blow with the contract. She is not in her senses. This is me at my worst. Everyone's abandoned me. Show me your worst.
The spit didn't happen. Her dialogue contradicts it. And I tried saying that word😆, and when we enunciate 'thook', especially as aggressively as Yumna did, it looks like we are actually spitting. But she did not spit.
The slap was too much too. Hard to get over it. Not liking Meerab at all, but trying to understand where the character is coming from.
MK
I am confident there is no assault of any sort. I watched the episode finally. Even after all the reviews, I'm confident there's no assault.
MK first got angry at Meerab's comparison of R and H's situation. This could have further triggered Meerab's anger. And his anger only rose after that.
When MK responded to Meerab's aukaat line finally and closed the door, the only thing I got on my mind was that he is going to tell her how wrong she has been.
He is going to prove her wrong. Act true to his words: Hurt me as much as you want, I'll forgive you, always. My love will once again win. It has always been my love.
They are going to have a huge ugly fight. Meerab in guilt maybe. MK heartbroken yet again.
Off the epi
1. It is only the reviews that gave the feel that there's going to be an assault. The promo, disgustingly marketed to play with emotions, added to the fear. But the epi in itself did not indicate assault in any way.
2. This isn't the final separation. We still have one bts of MK in brown Kurta and M in red dress she usually wears at night. She has her wedding ring on her finger there. So, Meesam is going to happen the right way.
3. The article is vague. It mentions the slap and spit part. And it talks about the THEME of consent and MR. Why not? The whole show is about consent. Aren't they dealing with it already?
4. The makers and channel are cashing in on the publicity and uproar by fans. It's all PR. Nothing else. They aren't going to clarify anything. They will only add more to the publicity. It's disgusting what some of the makers are hinting at, but I don't believe it wrt to MM. They are being vague.
