There are hardly 3-4 dramas where they Showed MR, in two of them male lead was anti hero, in one he was villain (side character) and in one mentally disabled and drugged.

Otherwise jitny meine dekhy hain, they never made fun of such important topic.

Bashar momin main fq ka character hi villainish hota hai toh he got redeemed, Kashf main the character who did it got punished, same with zakham

I just read the IV from the writer and the production head’s reply and yes it’s MR. They just confirmed it!!

They don’t think it’s triggering because they don’t believe it’s wrong as they are husband and wife 🤢 So let me just also say that they will whitewash this and justify him raping her- and she will leave, be pregnant and then have happily ever after…

I just wanted to point out- Rape can’t be provoked. If Meerab slapped/spat on him and he gets angry and shoots her- that’s reflexive and could be justified that he got so angry that he shot her in heat of moment. But for rape to happen, he needed to close the door, force her in the floor or bed, take off her clothes and his, and then rape her. The entire time she will be fighting him off, screaming, crying and begging him to stop - let’s say it’s takes 15-20 mins. Did at no point Murtasim feel bad for the woman he so supposedly loved more than life?? Did her pain and her tears have no effect on him at all?


He raped her!! And they will show happily ever after with her rapist. How do you fall in love with your rapist? How fo you live with him? How do you not live in fear that you will again do smthg and he would switch back to jaanwar mode? No matter how much regret is shown, can you guarantee he wouldn’t do this again? What about Meesam- she is a daily reminder of that abuse she faced? Not a love token?? Finally how do you again be physically intimate with your rapist?

Lastly, it’s happened and that’s what they will show. The fact that it ruined Meerasim or MK doesn’t matter because they have what they want- views and Trps- next week it will be higher so they will be happier. The fact that they created a dangerous narrative justifying MR in a country that had high rapes anyway - who gives a crap about that?
