Yes. You may be right. She won't ride on two boats at a time. I just felt that Elizabeth was pleased that a guy like Wickham preferred her company. Similarly Aliya may like that Afsar likes her.

Salman is Salman who is childish yet mature. I think Aliya didnt like Asfar before but with time she will see Asfar's human side and be more friendly towards him.

But last episode cleared that even if Asfar approached her with romantic feelings she wont be seeing him as anything more than a friend if things progress

She is realising that Asfar is interested in her and she is not liking it either. Thats why she was so engrossed in her thoughts the next day in the office .

Yes Salman is not like Darcy. But writer may have made changes in characters keeping the basic structure of the story.

I also read somewhere that KA is inspired by PP. Aliya still has some qualities of Elizabeth but Asfar is definitely not Wickham. Though in initial episodes, Asfar was portrayed as a toxic character but as the story is progressing, they are showing some good characteristics of Asfar which according to me Wickham never had. Darcy was also too proud compared to Salman to confess his feelings this quick. When Salman first came to know Aliya had met Asfar, immediately the next day he asked for her commitment unlike Darcy who went into a shell knowing Liz met and befriended Wickham.

I just thought the writer may have taken the concept and made changes to the characters according to his choice.

According to the writer and director the drama is more inspired by old pak family dramas which had good sense of humour but we're thought provoking and had strong female characters unlike most current pak drama.

Except for the mother and father's dynamo with the kids I don't see much similarities with PP. I heard it's mostly inspired by unkahi and tanhayian named pak dramas from the 80s or 90s. Going by the wiki story of these two dramas it seems to be true. Esp the female lead's characterisation.
