The way I am trying to make sense is if Meerab is not Murtasim's wife she has no real identity.

When he is not there to anchor her to reality she doesn't know which way to turn. He is the only positive influence in her life and without his guidance she is lost.

Murtasim tried to guide her but she is a slow learner, and he is running out of patience.

But this over bashing of fl, while ignoring ml mistakes always surprises me.

Meerab is unluckiest character who is easy target for writer, team, fans.

It doesn't mean she shouldn't get bashing for her mistakes. She should. But there is no bashing for ml for his mistakes, only justifications.

Half of his mistakes doesn't even discussed because one justification for all - He is feudal person.

Listen , one is an egoistic jerk and the other one a stubborn duffer. So when u have such flawed protagonists, the pendulum is going to swing both ways. We love them because they are pure souls..good at heart u know :)

My point was not that

How come meerab getting bashed for not feeling guilty for elopement

But no expectations from murtasim to feel guilty for doing forced marriage to his sister which actually was the main reason of elopement

He has zero guilt for leaving her at midnight too

This is just one incident for example

There are many incidents like this where people give free pass to ml, nitpick fl.
