I have the same question. He said Murtasim Khan’s decision isn’t enough to clear Meerab’s name (or something like that) so he has to continue. I think Murtasim asked him to stop because he couldn’t hear all that stuff about Mariam but was Waqas acknowledging that Murtasim’s hands are tied until Meerab’s name was cleared.
