Her parents never abandoned her they were mazboor by a promise made to a dead person. They were concerned about her safety when MB slapped Meerab and discussed with Anwar, they tried to ensure such behaviour isn't repeated. Wedding is such a pure bond and considering they are from earlier generation her parents are ashamed when the contract matter came up, unfortunately we are normalised by ITV PTV to this alien concept of marriage with contract and riders attached, otherwise marriage is a holy communion where 2 souls unite through a physical union. I believe parents should be given right to question for the responsibilities they have taken care of. Other than being a nagging and whining Sadly I have never seen Meerab achieving anything significant in her life. Remember murtasim said becoming his wife isn't stopping her from doing anything, but only hindrance has been her sulking.
I clearly mentioned need more clarity on murtasim uncharacteristic behaviour towards haya.

Same man didn't care for his sister's love. Told meerab he will teach his sister lesson because she dared to love while same man sympathises with haya who is hurting his wife (his supposed to be love) because of her obsession with him.
