I feel there is a real tussle between the writing team and the actors.
The writers think they own the character they create and can do whatever they want with it. Whereas the actors make it their own breathe life into it and the audience gets attached to the character. I think the writers are somewhat jealous how a character put on paper by them is no longer theirs when a good actor gives life to it. There is a conflict here and I think the more famous the actor is the conflict is more.
When Zama the llama said he doesn’t write for an actors fan club I wonder who he meant?

Obviously HC's since Pranali is too new and does not have such a strong fan base. Honestly neither does Jay Soni. SGP was a success because of Ragini and Supriya. SGP2 had to be yanked off air because it performed dismally. HC is the biggest star in rishta right now. Zama is totally sidelining Abhimanyu's character.

But even with legacy viewers they like having one couple. Even the Vedika plot line had to be wrapped up because they had a plan and because audience feedback was bad. But honestly I liked the actress who played Vedika much better than Jai Soni. Jay is fairly one note and the character of Abhinav is too bland and has zero chemistry with Pranali. I do not know whether that is because of Jay (because even his chemistry with Ragini was non existent) or whether it is the way the character is written or because Jai and Pranali really do not get along off screen

Sometimes I feel this was the plan from the beginning they ended shivangi and mohsin character before gen 3. and gen 3 trp mostly dependent on legacy audience and hc fans.

Story toh thi nahi many legacy audience left. Now to retain remaining fans they are using hc and making people to accept navra till he is there. People start hating abhimanyu to the extent that they will start accepting navra. By which they will save some money too which they are paying to hc. once hc leaves they can make Abhinav as one of the birlas.
