He is acting like a doormat and I won't deny that. But in this scene, I think what he did was right (imo). Neelo loves him, yes. And I don't blame her for being pissed at Maheer but I do respect that he asked Neelo not to point fingers at her character.
He has every right to question her or show his anger. But imo, no third person should interfere.
