A record chase at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium, which started with SRH's impact sub Anmolpreet playing a few meaty blows in the powerplay. He fell to the spin of Yuzi, but that start proved to be the launch pad for Abhishek Sharma and Rahul Tripathi. Both of SRH's Indian talents delivered today, with Sharma getting a 50 and Tripathi just under that. However, they couldn't score at a very brisk rate, and the target kept getting stiff. But SRH found two timely cameos, first from Klaasen who took on the spinners with a 12-ball 26 and then Glenn Phillips who breathed life into a death game. Hyderabad were way off the pace, needing 41 off the last two overs. But Glenn Phillips' hat-trick of sixes against Kuldip Yadav gave them a lifeline. And though he couldn't finish off the job, Abdul Samad took on the baton and hammered two sixes in the final over when SRH needed 17 to win, to get them a sweet, sweet couple of points... If only Sandeep Sharma had stayed in his crease while bowling that last delivery!! Anyway, plenty to introspect, but now for the presentations...

Abdul Samad: When I went in to bat, it wasn't an easy situation. Phillips gave us the injection. Was waiting for the ball to hit in the slot. Luckily got no ball as well. Umpire told us only one run would be given. Was waiting for the ball in the right area to hit. Phillips is the game-changer for us. We are still in the game (tournament). Look forward to carry this momentum in the remaining matches as well.
