I'm no expert on this topic but I did read articles about girls who have been recruited or rather brainwashed into joining terror outfits.

There's this woman here in Kochi who is still fighting a court case to bring her daughter back to India so that she can at least be brought to justice in her own nation.

I did go down the rabbit hole when I initially heard of this case and found the said young lady's interview along with that of a few other Indian girls who had similarly joined a terror group under false promises and while the others seemed remorseful of their actions, this particular girl wasn't ashamed of what she had done and that still boggles my mind. I also don't think the mom is having any luck getting her kid back into the country. I kind of stopped following that story, would have to look it up again.

The politicians claiming this to be untrue are most certainly wrong. While things might be exaggerated, it's certainly not completely untrue.

However, it would be wise to remember that this movie is only inspired by real incidents and creative liberties would most certainly have been taken to add an element drama to the film.

I think it was Oomen Chandy who made comment on conversions. Not a CM who said Kerala will be Islamic state. Chandy was not CM as far as I know.
