I had to watch this scene with my eyes closed just to hear Meerab's prayer and to avoid that woman's face

Meerab lines for Murtasim gut wrenching, she knew she was going to let him down but got involved anyways, because she had no other choice and was trapped.

Yes it would have been easy to ignore Maryam let her run off on her own, bury her head in the sand and ignore it all just live the good rich life like a spoiled princess, she stays safe but will he be happy. He would never admire or love such a woman and would be bored of a wife like that, not to mention his life would be a mess if it wasn't for her guidance.

Have faith Murtasim she just needs some more time, one day she will make the right calls and you don't have to worry so much.

She had her own ideals she needed to live up to, then there was Maryam's blind foolishness, her husband's high expectations, then there is overall family izzat she needed to protect, how much she had to balance, how many lives depended on her, it was near impossible task to fulfill with her limited life experience.

Honestly, I feel like Anwar should have stood up for Meerab and said she could live in his portion. He could acknowledge that what she did is wrong but as a parent, you take your kid in regardless. I know he was disappointed and I understand but he’s her dad. Why wouldn’t he say that she could stay with him? I felt so bad when she asked him if he was kicking her out as well 😢
