What would make him toxic is not holding haya accountable but punishing meerab who tried to do good for someone who was about to self destruct anyway. Meerab did more than enough by telling them and arranging a meeting . We will know who he is next week.

Ek raat pehle MK ne bhi vaada maanga tha from Merub when he bared his soul to her "khudko aur mujhe sambhal lena please" "kuch aisa mat karna ke mujh se meri doosri chahat ek aur khwab door hojaye...pehli baar to seh gaya tha ab nahi seh paoon ga." The way he had kept saying I trust you and you are not fault before the video reveal implied that he thought Merub had heard his plea that night,

What MZ said made MK feel that Merub ke liye uska MZ se vaada is more important than MK's own plea to her and his bharosa. Usko laga ke Merub ki nazar main meri itni giri hui value hai. At this point, he just doesn't think Merub values him or wants to be with him, and it is better for him to just let her go and give Merub her "marzi ki azaadi" she wants.

Him letting her go goes back to some of his foreboding lines from some previous episodes "jisse khush nahin rakh sakte usse shaadi kyun"; "jo dil se utar jaaye" uske saath zindagi nahi guzari ja sakti (he thinks woh i.e. MK is not in Merub's dil); if someone loves you back, it is "anmol".

I am with you. I have literally thought about this situation regarding my kids. Nobody would be spared my wrath as a mother or sister. Not my parents, not my spouse, not anybody. Especially after I warned them not to interfere. Especially after that. Even if it wasn’t completely their fault. I would find it hard to be with my husband if he did something like that… I would still love him but not be able to be with him after this. Losing a family member or such harm coming to a family member… that takes precedence over my romantic interest who was warned and didn’t listen.
