Exactly! Meerab or no meerab , mariyam would have eloped. Mariyam is responsible for whatever happens with her not meerab .

Irrespective of Anas is good or bad , she didn’t look beyond at what this action could lead to , MB or anwar could have had heart attack and died or if her involvement was out she should have had to live in house for rest of her life or maybe asked to leave. She didn’t took beyond that is/ was her only mistake.

I repeat again! Majority of audience watch soap for leads ! Leads action bother them not side characters.
would reaction and uproar be same if either KMK or MZ does something bad with meerab or mariyam ?? People would react more intensely for KMK , as he is hero and he can’t to something like that . Same with Meerab to them she is lead and her digging grave for herself is not something audience are able to digest so this reaction.
If meerab is shown feeling guilty and starts crying same people will melt like pudding , and if H does nobody will say awww, then to they will say she shld just die.

While watching a show , you need to differentiate between leads and other characters behaviour and audience reactions. Nobody cares two hoots with what will happen to Mariyam or haya, they want meerab to be put out of this mess that’s why extreme reactions.
