even after twice, you can get reported to the manager and get warned. so to approach the third time is a bit of risk. but after 3, it was seen as point blank harassment and it would then start moving up the chains.

considering viaan just went through a case with shamita, one would think he has some brains to back off and stay in his space. someone shouldn't have to skip lunch or avoid the canteen because they are uncomfortable. that is just wrong!

It seems like i haven't catched your opinions from the very beginning 🤣🤔

To me there is nothing more ridiculous and disgusting than his ONS offer

I mean if we consider his staring or pressure he put on katha as harrasement or unacceptable behaviour that should be reported and have consequences at the work place

So what about offering money to a woman to buy her body?!!

Even if she accepted ( i think she rejected first - i think katha wasn't playful woman like shamita - i think no normal respectful man could make such offers and what boundaries did he has when he could make such offers just to satisfy his prejuidices - i think he could make fun of her then said NO we couldn't give you such loan and stop - i think he isn't stupid to see how terrified she was)

Even with her consent he still guilty he even doesn't put a possibility she may be in need

He would be right if he rejected it and stop or if he tested her (which still ridiculous) and stop

What i said is the same POV of many people on twitter and that's why majority of them praising the show right now because to them nothing worse than the ONS offer

There is still some of them who don't like his staring (finding it boring just like me 🙋‍♀️) or didn't like him putting pressure on katha and didn't give her a space but still don't like the old version of him

I hope everything is clear now why people on twitter praising the show right now generally with some critics for sure

And my final words

1. It's first time viaan falling in love so we couldn't expect him to behave normally like we thought as a viewer ( where some fans also conplained that he is showing as perfect person right now while they also complained about him being wrong while pressurized katha (so he isn't being shown as perfect right, he comitting mistakes? )

2. Their love track is still at the very beginning so we can't give final assessment of it right now and we don't know what will be the consequences of it

I will just try to put in my pov here.... No offence to anyone...

Firstly, about Viaan's staring... I get that some find it as creepy but it was just maker's way of showing his love for Katha...

And frankly, I don't get why that is so problematic because he used to stare at her before too... That was always there throughout the show... From the ONS till now.... In fact both of them stare at eachother....

And now it's not like Katha told him at any point that his staring/behaviour is effecting her in any way... She is just worried that he is getting his hopes up... And she specifically told him that she has no place for him in her heart and he respected that ..

In fact, the way it is shown that Viaan doesn't even want her to realise he is staring at her.... He always turns the other way when he notices her watching...

Secondly, about Viaan pressuring her... I don't think it's the case either.... He expressed his love she rejected him.... And then he came to her cabin to just tell her his pov and left... After that he was maintaining his distance albeit staring at her... Which I talked about above....

It was Katha who initiated the topic from then on... Even in the precap of today's episode that's what happened....

Thirdly, him talking about his love life with Aarav, well I don't like it that much either but I am taking this as plot device for some future setup because it feels like they need him specifically involved in this... And they couldn't find a better way... I will see where it goes ...

And finally, Viaan not handling his feelings towards Katha in a mature way.... This I consider as what the character's journey is all about.... For a person who opened himself to falling in love for the first time, it can be a very overwhelming experience. You can't expect him to act maturely all the time... That too a flawed character like Viaan... As far as I am concerned he is a mature person in every other aspect of his life except for his love life... That's how he is from the beginning.... Otherwise the ONS thing wouldn't even happen...

I believe as his love for her grows... And when time, circumstances,people around him and maybe even Katha herself tests his own faith in his feelings... We can see him grow to understand himself and his feelings in a better way and hence become more mature....

I don't expect Katha to accept his love or even consider it right now... It is just the beginning.... I believe she is going to destroy him and herself before she can accept his love and her own feelings. Let's see where makers go with this....

All in all, I know this show has some flaws but I believe they have their heart in the right place and are doing their best to tell their story as efficiently as possible. I guess we just have to wait and watch whether they will be able to justify the potential of this show ... Sincerely, I hope they do.... 😍😍😍🤞🤞🤞

here, I am not able to enjoy viaan's behaviour at all. I was still willing to give his starefest a pass because it was under 2 times the rejection. however, now, she has said it 3 times (including preview) by my count.

the 3 times rule is an easy way to see the limits of wooing. he can't state that he will continue to love her all his life and keep staring at her -- well that is what stalkers do as well and so are other crimes commited in the name of love. a normal ML would move on. this is starting to give me a bit of creeps. I draw the line at not being able to eat food. that is bad.

I hope the makers wake up and realize that this isn't the right way to show wooing. but who knows -- it looks like they are only getting positive feedback and continue to shave off brain cells in viaan.

@bold - hardly surprising, this is the land of Kabir Singh brand of love. That movie was a huge hit, right?

Apart from all that had been said, I hate that he is also discussing so much with Aarav. If they were gym buddies that greeted each other or made small talk it would be ok. Why was Aarav not taught to NEVER talk to strangers? I can understand Viaan being this way. He seems to have suddenly no boundaries with anyone.

at least aarav being friendly with adults make sense story wise -- home schooled and only company were all these old people in the complex. so he is more comfortable with them. viaan as an adult should know better 🤦

what irks me more is that aarav has been taught that he is the man of the house. he tells mamaG that it is his job to make her happy and make her less stressed. he is a kid. let the kid be a kid. isn't that what she wanted for him? give him some chores or something and stop yammering on about 'man of the house' to a child who isn't even a pre-teen.

good job on figuring it out! here, strangely enough, most of us on IF just saw it as a straightforward deal -- definitely ungentlemanly but then she accepted and set the terms and conditions. so we started the drama well aware that we have a grey ML and we weren't surprised in that sense....

I agree with both of you..falling in love for the first time is really over whelming....Viaan did not experience the feeling as a teenager...but he is doing it now.....if you have a crush on someone you tend to be like a magnet and follow them with your eyes....The viewers are aware of his staring not Katha..he turns the other side when she is looking..also see how he avoided direct interaction while she came for the coffee..even she did not see him first..only her hyper awareness of his eyes makes her realise his presence behind her..even in the car after picnic she could exactly make out the moment he turned his glance away from her..he was looking at Aaravs card...she was curious why she was not feeling his gaze on her..if it had made her uncomfortable she would have raised the subject then and there ..she is a strong woman...doesnt mind speaking her mind ..So as viewers we know Viaan is constantly staring at her but she is not uncomfortable since it is not in a creepy way
