The crowds are in the background and not in the section itself. But even if there was, it's her choice. Desi women be decked up in heavy zari sarees and a million lbs of jewelry in the sweltering sweaty heat of some cities with the bonus of smoke and heat from a wedding fire going - compared to that what Sonam is wearing is akin to walking naked through a garden with a cool summer breeze.

Of course it's her choice but that need not stop anyone from finding her clothes strange for the occasion. I think she looks ridiculous for the setting she's in.

May be a time will come where celebs will start a poll and ask fans to decide what to wear, which movie to work, which costar to date, whom to marry, when to have a baby, baby's name etc 🤣

Interneters’ are just a nasty & bored lot. If she wants to wear a beautiful sari + stunning jewels which she did, to welcome a white man to India, I don’t see the problem AT ALL! + we all know Sonam is always over-dressed. Troll her for her WTF statements + her delusion about her privilege, but trolling someone for something this silly & random isn’t trolling. It’s stupidity. I absolutely loved her sari & am lusting after those jewels. ❤️ She looked so beautiful!

Yeah no one I know dresses up going to go watch a sport. Does she miss the red carpet ? Oh Sonam! 😆

Anyone going to baseball, basketball, or NFL here in America goes with jeans and a hoodie of their fav team. Even if they’re sitting in a VIP lounge with wine and great food.
