Think about this:
1/ WHY DID BAKHTU LIE ABOUT MERUB BEING HELD HOSTAGE BY THE MALIKS?
When Merub was kidnapped, Murtasim and his guys go to that storage shed and Murtasim asks to search the place. Bakhtu says that Merub is not here and that they should go. Murtasim was already on his way out when he heard Merub take his name. Even before, Bakhtu was not in favor of Murtasim going to Malik lands to look for Merub. Looks like Bakhtu was likely in on the kidnapping.
2/ HOW IS ZUBI ABLE TO SO EASILY WALK IN/OUT OF KHAN HAVELI?
Bakhtu appears to be Murtasim's right-hand man, maybe his head of security. All the other guards probably report to him. Zubi comes in and out of Khan Haveli like MB traipses through M/M bedroom. Looks like he must have an inside man to smooth his entry/exit.
Actually, Bakhtu being head of security explains a lot of other things. Those guards were probably told by Bakhtu to look the other way if Merub goes towards Malik's lands. Maybe that is also why the driver and guard that would have gone with Merub and Maryam to the restaurant did not recognize Anas and alerted any of the Khans.
