YES on the haq part. Every time she dismissed his haq on her he would get mad. In E2, he calls her. No salam dua and just says "Kahan ho tum". She very non-chalantly says "Meri marzi main jahan bhi hoon" and he gets really pissed off. And yes, the birthday party scene. I mean Murtasim acted like a possessive psycho boyfriend then a psycho family friend 🤪
I also AGREE on him not realizing his feelings.
- In E2, at the birthday party, recall the scene where Murtasim is holding Merub by her wrist and Rohail puts his hand on Merub's to stop Murtasim from taking her with him. Rohail's line and Murtasim's reaction in E2 is identical to the scene in E20 when Murtasim is holding Merub by her wrist and Anwar puts his hand on Merub's to stop Murtasim from taking her with him. One key difference is that, in E20, after Murtasim shrugs off Anwar's hands, he says: "Merub sirf meri hai".
- If we see these scenes in E2 and E20 as mirrors, we will see that the haq is not verbalized in E2 but in E20, Murtasim verbalizes this haq. This possibly gives credence to the theory of that the feelings were there before (sub-conscious, unannounced) but after their shaadi, they grew and became apparent aur ab woh chilla chilla kar bol sakta hai
