From episode 1 meerab was always shown to be empathetic.....and what they are trying to show now is the contrast to that.... irrespective of her circumstances some of her strong traits ...would remain same ...that's what builds her character. Because of the fickle writing ...they are butchering her.

Here she is supporting mariyum at the same time stopping her to do things which can ruin the family reputation.

Regarding murtasim I can't say anything. He seemed to have no problem with his sister getting married forcefully.

The actual mistakes here meerub made is, she didn't check the background of that guy properly, and took that huge decision by making them exchange rings! Engagement or promise ring whatever you name it. Leaving it upto you. Not informing her own husband! The girl's brother!!! Not informing a simgle person from.that family...she took that huge decision and encouraged them in their nibba harkats!

And not telling murtasim/ hiding it from him that there was a SAAND SIZE GUY in your sister's room at the middle of night.
