Why do Dyuti in GC wear mangalsutra? As far as I know Bengalis don’t wear mangalsutra. Only Dyuti wears mangalsutra in that show no one else wears it. All other married women wears only sindoor

I might be wrong but as far as I heard from my Bengali friend she told me that there is usually no rituals among Bengalis to wear mangalsutra. Married women wear only sindoor.

In Durga aur Charu too they are showing mangalsutra which is opposed by the fandom as Bengalis don’t wear mangalsutra usually & the time line of show is 1950s I suppose (I don’t watch it so don’t know correctly)

Because she got married to non bengali parivaar or to a diff caste in bengali. Like here Garry is not sikh he is munna punjabi which gives right to wear sindoor and mangalsutra too. While in og she didn't perform any first day ritual as well. She does not wear shakapola as well.
