This is gold

Especially the last 30 seconds of the edit, with the ending aalap of ek dil ek jaan playing when they walk hand in hand to their walima from their room. Oh correction - she has held his hand. He first looks at her while she doesn't, and then she turns to look at him when he turns away.

There's definitely an air of uneasiness, as well as the very real acknowledgement among both of them that they now belong to each other, and that they're now together for life even though both of them were far away from love at that point in the story. Well, Murtasim had just come out of a trance of looking at her in awe. Understandably, there's a faint look of admiration in Murtasim's eyes.

It's like they're walking into their new life together. Uff for the hopeless romantics, give us more! 😆

Like how she wanted him to come with her to karachi, how she couldn't handle his anger in rohail case, she could have said I don't need to give explanation like she said to her fake fathers. But she wanted to give explanation only to murtasim.

When she feels she may loose murtasim, then only she may realise her feelings.

@ bold: this is the correct phrase for Meerab's two... well, fake fathers. Sach mei fake hi hain dono. But it's so funny when we read it in a sentence 😆

ITV or Ekta Mata's Alt Balaji - now give me an Indian version of feudal lord in Rajasthan, mustache, shawl, horses, sand, castles, politics, village folks, power play, jaanlewa villain, khandani enemies, and ... well, the chemistry between any two characters can't be recreated but can be tried to the best extent possible.

At least, proper story, character development and continuity is needed. These two characters deserve good writing.

Ok…is this really believable? I think this is where I’m getting stuck and frustrated with Meerab and/or her dialogue. (I listened to Rabia’s Fushia review, and I actually liked it and agreed with many things she said this time!!!) Here it is: Meerab thinks that someone should be at ishq stage of love for her, or in the super mohabbhat stage etc…willing to tolerate anything for her, do anything for her etc., as she explains to Maryam and Murtasim. But HELLO…her husband has done ALL of that and then some. Every single episode since he got engaged to her, he’s been tolerating so much for her, changing his life for her, almost got killed for her (remember his body was soaked in blood she said after the accident)!!! He told her that he couldn’t live if he hadn’t saved her. WHAT ELSE DOES SHE WANT to see to believe that someone is in love with her? As an audience, are we supposed to believe that Meerab is simply clueless about this stuff and Murtasim? I feel like it’s a stretch, no? Objectively, the guy’s done and done for life. How can she not see that? Having trouble with that last episode because of this disconnect.

That accident was a huge, huge missed opportunity to show Meerab's changing feelings and her softening stance and concern towards Murtasim.

I wish they would have developed their relationship better in these 30 episodes. Rather than showing Meerab flirting with him just to diatract him, as seen in the latest episode. I don't get the hot and cold ever-changing behaviour the writer shows Meerab as having. By now, the story development should have shown her already having feelings or at least surely developing feelings for him after all that he's done. Especially given that this is a love story, and we have limited episodes.

She could have easily went with her fathers not caring to see murtasim, but she wanted to stay for him, meet him, show her gratitude.

It looks like you missed the scenes where she felt guilty for bullet scene, cried, tried to make it up for him by cooking food, only when he dragged nyla by claiming izzat, she lost her cool and fought with him.

@Italic She didn't apologize because she didn't do anything like murtasim thinking. Murtasim thought she went to karachi to meet rohail which is untrue.

If she wants to prove her character to maintain her ego, then why didn't she do the same with her fake fathers? Why she wanted to give explanation only to murtasim

U think she was ready to jump for her ego? If it was old meerab she would have told him to go to hell instead of doing such stunt.

Meerab will believe anyone easily except khan family. Because she hated them since her childhood. Years of hate won't get vanished in months.

Regarding maintaining boundaries. Murtasim crossed his boundaries the moment he let haya sit on his bed and feed him. So nothing can beat that for me.

That Bullet incident guilt was useless when she doesn't has the decency to apologize instead she talked with him as if he is stupid to be angry. The reason why I call Meerab stupid is because when nyla came, all Meerab had to do was apologize for running in the field and removing bullets, then she could have politely question his decision like an educated and graceful woman, yet she went all dominant at him like an illiterate. No man will tolerate such behavior, especially a feudal like Murtasim.

The reason why I call Meerab an illiterate is her rude behavior, because in my eyes the first thing education teaches is to respect others and here we are talking about her husband. Islam emphazies upon husband's respect as obligatory. A woman who doesn't respect her husband is punishable in another world, so her disrespect for Murtasim in my eyes is not justifiable from any angle, especially when a husband like Murtasim is in question who treasures her respect as his own.

In my eyes, for Meerab Murtasim is nothing but a toy which she uses for her own benefit. We all know how she would have been treated by others without Murtasim's support. So she definitely wants to use him to shelter her from the consequences of her every blunder, as we have seen it happening plenty of times by now, it's also one of the reason why she agreed to marry him.

I felt that Meerab struggling to prove herself correct isn't out of care or love for Murtasim but out of her pride to stay good in Murtasim's eyes. The reason why she didn't clear herself in both father's eyes is because she considers them useless in her life, but Murtasim is pretty useful for her, as she continues to enjoy the privilege of being his wife.

If Murtasim unintentionally crossed boundaries with Haya, then I also remembers that he had apologized for it and is getting her married in a month to stay out of trouble, unlike Meerab who didn't have the guts to give a proper shut up call to Rohail but speaks as if she is opressed, when we all know that she can easily walk out of the marriage whenever she wants. You pointed out Meerab's guilt but refuses to acknowledge Murtasim's apology in this matter is beyond my understanding.

It isn't the point that Meerab did nothing wrong to apologize because her intentions are correct, but Murtasim has apologized plenty of times even for things he hadn't done or the mistakes he committed unintentionally unlike Meerab who shows attitude and prioritizes her ego.

They should have shown a proper reason as to why she hates Khan family before the parentage truth, because we all know that she was loved and respected a lot there. If she hates Khan family for the parentage truth, then she must hate Rohail too who in her own words kidnapped her and gave disgusting ideas to get out of marriage. It's beyond illogical to see her trusting him still.

It's my personal opinion and you are free to disagree, but I really feels that we must get out of the phase of sympathizing with women and allowing them to play victim card, but cruelly expecting men to tolerate them and remain a saint. I believe in equality and here Meerab is more in wrong than Murtasim.

We keep calling out Murtasim for slapping Meerab, even though he apologized for it. Meerab has done things far worse and didn't even apologize but we keep justifying it for the sake of her being woman. In my every day life I've seen girls slapping boys on street for no reason and justifies it being a woman. It's a hypocrisy because I believe that a man and woman both must give equal respect to each other. In Meerab and Murtasim's relationship, there is only one sided respect and I don't see Meerab respecting him soon, Maryam's stunt is a prove of how much she respects him.

I will end this debate right here because I don't want to fight for a fictional character but my point remains that I refuse to sympathize with Meerab and ignore her mistakes just for the sake of her being a woman. I sympathized with her as long as she deserved it but now her mistakes are senseless and exaggerated. Similarly I refuse to expect Murtasim to let go of his self respect and become a doormat by ignoring Meerab's blunders just because he is a man.

I don't like holding personal grudges for anyone, instead I just hope that the society will move out of the phase of mysogynism or feminism. Every human being is equal in my eyes, irrelevant of their gender. I extremely hate the societies where woman's are deprived of their basic rights and dominated by men's but I also hate women who plays victim card and takes no strong action like Meerab but continues to blame others unecessarily and refuses to take charge of their actions.

Peace ❤️

It bothered me a lot too, as to why she doesn't tell Rohail that she doesn't love him. Simple. But she doesn't say that, not once, never. And on top of that, the dialogue where Rohail tells her "lagta hai Meerab tumhe mujhse mohabbat hi nahi", and she goes "mohabbat hai ya nahi usse koi farad nahi padta". I was like...

If she's implying that usse Rohail se Mohabbat hai, but somehow she's caged here, then she shouldn't disrespect the marriage anymore and respectfully leave, and learn to grow up in life, behave like an adult, take accountability, and not blame others for every single minor inconvenience in her life.

Forget a married woman, in the sub-continent, even single women do not entertain a man's repeated calls and declarations of mohabbat like this, unless they're interested in him. For that matter, men or women, anyone would want to put an immediate full stop to unsolicited mohabbat declarations, if they're not interested in the person making those declarations. Which is what hurt Murtasim so much - Meerab neither stopped nor denied any of the rubbish that Rohail was spouting. Ulta she justifies her behaviour and acts arrogant saying it's no big deal if she continues chatting with her "friend" who keeps declaring unsolicited mohabbat. I just don't know what to make of this anymore.

This is supposed to be a love story and we aren't seeing Meerab even starting to feel something for Murtasim. It does get tedious after a point lol.

Yup..

Feminism itself means equality.

Not women dominating men.

Dominance of either gender in a society is equally harmful to create disbalance.

I also feel these things regarding meerub.
