Watched the happy family show. They really had characters based on a mixture of Sarabhai and Khichdi. It was just ok in parts. The jokes were not landing, was crass and cheap at some point and a lot of stuff was repitition. Those characters worked in Khichdi and Sarabhai but it did not in this limited series where they tried to maybe cater to OTT audience and ended up being all over the place. Thats how I felt watching the show and last two episodes very simply horrible. Lol I feel like everybody liked the show but I was not able to enjoy it, forwarded almost entire last episode. 😆

Katha has all the attitude in the world to give to others and especially Viaan but Grewals ke case mein bheegi billi dying to get validation and family support from Adiiii ki familyyyyy😆

Ehsan aaya nahin lagta is paath pe🥺.....we will have to make do with Grewals ke scenes🤪😆. Waise bhi all this will air next week only.....rest of this week will go in hospital scenes of Katha/Aarav with G fam and Viaan getting love guru tips from Ehsan🥱

What a badly executed episode. Makers have finally bowed down, letting go of the USP of the show. There was a shift in the tone of the show right from when the Shamita case was introduced and all the other tracks were put on hold. They just let go of the subtlety and the understated nature of the show to bring in showmanship and gimmicky stuff.

Viaan and Ehsan scene was just so so lame and somewhat crass and came out of nowhere!! Then the stupid Reet delivery stuff again the entire thing was so so forced. Chalo was good till it lasted. 😔 They could have shown all that they had to show in terms of Viaan- Ehsan and also KV in their own way and it would have been much more impactful than this instant gratification that they went for!

Bang on. The drag and tone of the whole Shamita track had many hiccups and disjoint in narration too so that did give a clue to what's coming. Waise socha jaaye toh this all kinda started in the aftermath of Viaan's realization only.....since then they have been struggling on how to move the narrative forward....it's either fillers or drag in different ways. Even though I liked some parts of the Holi epis, most of it was just drag and faltu Grewals drama only...right after they started the Shamita track and even though overall intent of the track was understandable to resolve some baggage between KV, the track itself was dragged way too much and lost a lot of juice story-wise.

It genuinely feels they are just doing filler epis these days or throwing in gimmicks based on fangirl demands. Koi overall flow dikh nahin raha narrative ka. This G family drama just feels beyond stale but fangirls will deffo write huge essays on how "progressive" it is that Katha needs support from her in-laws to manage her life now also😆

Viaan meanwhile bas confused ghoomega about how to progress his love story and kiske "love tips" sune - Ehsan ke ya Batman ke....lol would be beyond lame if he tries to start proving himself worthy of Katha by trying to win over her FIL😕😆

Thanks for the review yaar.....I actually started watching epi 1 but didn't manage to finish the whole epi....lol like it had some funny bits but couldn't hold my attention overall much so I lost track😆

I gave up somewhere around epi 7 Caz of the same repitive stuff plus not having the plot whatsoever I was wishing by then ke somewhere it might pick a track but no ... baaki iichadi and satabhai i never got into it to begin with esp woh jo naya season of kicchadi they made recently. ... waise bhi whatever I watched I only was enjoying woh medicine wale papa and baaki daddi ke some jokes.. however have to say that woh whole black bahu wala thing was kaafi racist even if they were trying to be progressive with it.. ke they have accepted her..and that beta sunjuoy and his wife were such a meh forced track

Abhi toh best papa banana hai as per today's epi mil gaya hai memo viaan ko..😆and he has lagooed on mission..lol.. mere liye toh neerja madam ke faltu insertion her jagah Sr hi started the disconnect and mostly viaan and asrav has been holding my interest and the ones I want to see but ab lagta nahi woh bhi milega...since makers have more stories to tell and better ones at that with the loser Ehsan being made the greatest mahatma messiah now and baaki ke massiah ab great grewalas kar lenge Caz people still think hose losers are some Goals..I saw loads of goals goals walle tweets this morning hi on their so called progressiveness jahan widwa bahu ko control karna hai ab jab pehle kabhi bahu maana nahi..suddenly they have a say and Katha madam suddenly obeying them won't be considered regressive but koi aur apne pati ko as little as ok keh de to finish the argument they become toxic and doormats but kyonki Katha ne sari nahi pehni Katha doing inki chaakri and suddenly doing midwife duties and part time gyanc is ok and progress after all we all needed a class on how to.dele8ver a bacha Caz well what else is their in life..must check out the essays on how "informative " and forward all that was thay they showed ITV ki history ka Firsy water break scene..yeah apparently yeh bhi koi medal hai..oh well..🫡

Yaar sorry I dunno if I will be able to watch these Pak shows you're recommending....I saw some of the clips but phir bhi itna motivation nahin ho raha to watch the whole thing. Mujhe Hamlet remake dekhne mein bhi itna interest nahin feel ho raha is waqt. But chalo you enjoy :) I'm watching my Netflix and other old shows revisiting for now as backup.
