Seems like they never liked Abhi and using the one huge mistake he did that day and rejecting the call to hold over him for any and every what they deemed as "bad reaction/action" from him.

I saw traits in Abhi that I knew later writers would exploit for drama as Abhi has qualities of anger and he was from a toxic family. Some of that stuff was bound to come out of him and he would one day treat Akshu really badly. Makers went a bit overboard. But he deserves a chance to redeem himself.

Akshu also has to be called out for some of her decisions making skills. She takes certain things too lightly and then because of that has to face those consequences. Her self sacrificing trait ends up being a detriment to both herself and those around her.
